Yes. 18,000,000 will suddenly just give up EVERYTHING out of spite.

Or, they will realize that they backed the losing pony.

And it only drives home the point, that politics isn't about winning and losing. Hard to take the moral high ground when you treat politics as something winnable, as opposed to dealing with issues as they arise. Means that you're looking for your own reward when you should be looking out for the country's best interest...

Well, I guess this will tell us the REAL PUMAs from the pretenders. I can't imagine Republicans would want Hillary to be the Majority Leader.

My weekend is now complete. It was bothering me that I didn't know how the Moonies felt about this. At any rate, give everyone a coupon for the Cheesecake Factory and call it even.

I not an expert in psychology, but isn't it pretty damn obvious at this point that it's not about the country or even Clinton, but rather a handful of women who have projected their personal failures and successes on to Clinton?

Actually, I could totally get behind that, and I'm no HC supporter. Reid is a waste of space, Clinton's a fighter.

That's pretty much the gist I'm getting.

Yknow what, Hillary? You can do a whole mega-farkton of good and you can start right god-damn now. How? Start crafting those sweeping health care reforms that you (and Obama) want -- and start right now. It will take years of debate to get the laws put into place once Obama has taken office. Why waste from now until the Spring session to start? Democrats aren't going to have a 60 majority in the Senate (possible, but unlikely) and we want it to be bi-partisan anyway -- it helps everyone in the long run.

The only downside is I'd likely be out of a job with the healthcare reforms. Such is life.

I am the leader of a group of about a billionty "renegade Republicans" who are sick of John McCain's antics. We demand that he drop Palin and pick the right man - Tom Tancredo - for the job.

We call ourselves Tom Will Anchor Tomorrow Strongly. You'll be seeing us quoted in fine publications shortly.

I like your style cowboy.

Sen. Majority Leader Clinton would be a good move, but not a necessary move. They already have a person with that title in their party.

Its not really that bad an idea. Reid is a rules guy and a Senators senator, but he's not particularly forceful. I'd like to see someone with some balls in the position.

I just moseyed on over to Hi44...

look at this HUGE leap in logic:

The attacks by PINO Big Blogs on Governor Sarah Palin are an attack on all women, by proxy.

The attacks on Governor Sarah Palin to many Hillary supporters are the same as the attacks on Hillary Clinton.

Many Hillary Clinton supporters will indeed, this NOvember, vote for Hillary Clinton by proxy by voting for Governor Sarah Palin.

Argh2: Actually, I could totally get behind that, and I'm no HC supporter. Reid is a waste of space, Clinton's a fighter.

This. Also, her power hungry nature would help erode some of the excess power accrued to the Executive branch in the last 8 years (or 18, or 80, take your pick).

I, for one, will welcome her as the Senates new Overlady, which I would not have done for her as President.

Since she knows so much about the layout of the White House, make her the Headmistress of all the servants.

She knows a lot about head in the White House too. Seems like a perfect fit.

Someone give this girl a Swiffer. Stat!

Harry Reid has proven himself to be quite worthless. I wouldn't be surprised if Clinton is the majority leader a year from now.

I am supporting McCain and I think Admiral Ackbar has it right, That is a a trap. It may be true, but I think some repub operatives, better yet, trolls are stirring the cheesecake batter.

As much as I dislike Harry Reid, no friggin way.

I think she might be pretty good leading the senate majority but like someone previously said, if she takes that spot, the success, failure, and direction of the senate is pretty much on her shoulders.

Of course, she seems to be fine taking on that kind of fight.

Because she gets impeached as a result of lying about pressuring that commissioner.

Obama said nothing to unify the party.

I was terribly underwhelmed by Obama's speech.

After hearing Hillary and Bill Clinton, his words totally lacked anything resembling humanity or humility.

There was not a single hint of reaching out to Hillary supporters. Obama seemed to be speaking to himself about himself and how we all had to support him.

He spoke of compassion, but his body language was stiff and distant.

He said nothing to unify the party.

He just recited a litany of all the things he promises to do - none of which has anything to do with women's rights.

Hillary, as usual, was spectacular. But, it is not her responsibility to unite people. She again and again let us know that she values our support.

In her speech, she once again proved that she is more mature, more gracious and more qualified to run this country than Barack. Obama can only unite the party if he gets over his ambiguity about Hillary and her supporters.

Hillary Clinton remains immensely popular with women and with working class voters - many of whom won't vote for Obama because he hasn't even bothered to ask us to.

If he can't win over his fellow Democrats, how can he lead our country?

A New York Senator as the Majority Leader?

Maybe some help for the 9/11 Victims who weren't covered by earlier work? Help for upstate farmers? Transportation funds for the state's incredibly varied transportation network?

Sounds fantastic. Let's go with it.

Too long winded. Didn't mention POW's POW status. Said nice things about a Democrat. Just obviously made stuff up about Obama's speech. Didn't mention that Palin changes the game. Poor effort overall.

McCain Points = 2

Yeah, I could've modified it, but I'm lazy and in a trolly mood so I just copypasta from BBC.

Meh, I'd take Hillary over Ried any day. I don't like Hillary, but she aint stupid, unlike the current Senate majority leader. (Don't suppose she could bump Nancy out of power while she's at it?)

/Will take smart ruthless ambition over stupid partisanship anyday.

It's not so much a numbers, as the media really prefers to air stories that involve conflict. And the more shrill you can pin anything NEAR Hillary the better.

I'm sure people have but the 24-hour "news" media just eats this stuff up and is giving them way, way, way, way, way more attention than they deserve. Someone needs to remind them (the nutcases) that they make up less than five percent of the population (probably less than that) and to demand that everyone bow to them is ridiculous. Your candidate lost; let's not tear down an entire party over your selfish desires.
