WIN! and informative...

"CHe prohibited rock n roll, those who listened to it were considered imperialistic bastards, so he would have arrested you, are you ok with that?"

"You are just right-wing people!"

Heh...dumbasses. This is why I only wear PBR tee shirts. Trust me, I know ALL of the pros and cons of that stuff.

My answer would have been, "Because people in the coffee shop were complaining about my puffy, dinner plate-sized nipples."

I think it's a pretty safe assumption that the people who mock the people who wear Che T-shirts know almost as little about the realities of Che's life as the people who wear the t-shirts to begin with. It's a bunch of parrots who can ape a few lines from Wikipedia and repeat inane talking points vomiting on each other.

It would be far more interesting to take a camera crew into the street and interview people about why they choose to brand themselves with corporate logos and give international businesses free advertising on their chests, backs, foreheads, and asses.

"So what aspect of Nike's use of child labor in developing countries represents you?"

T.M.S. [TotalFark] 2008-08-30 11:25:50 AM
A good response to that question is "Because it annoys you"

CtrlAltDelete [TotalFark] 2008-08-30 11:28:05 AM
I see they are wearing hardhats.

Ii wonder if they realize that supporters of Historical Revisionism who deny the Holocaust in Germany use hardhats as a sign of solidarity in rallies in Europe and Canada where outright support of national socialism is prohibited.

Wait a minute... Of COURSE they knew.

That guy who shouted "you're just extreme right wing"?

There you go.

I'm all for mocking those who wear Che Guevara shirts without knowing what a murdering f*ckhead he was. And I like that they at least offered people some information and a new shirt. But the hardhats might have been in poor taste as they try to submit a political message without understanding what it may mean.

brap [TotalFark] 2008-08-30 11:33:46 AM
Um, my Batista t-shirt is in the wash.

And who are you to ask questions? You're wearing a hardhat to conduct an interview.

Che's only mistake was not finishing the job on a global scale, including the purging of the pseudo-leftists within his own party that now dominate the people he wanted to free.

As far as I'm concerned, wearing logos for free is for suckers. If i'm ever gonna wear anything with a corporate logo, brand name, or pictorial representation on it, you better believe I'm getting paid for it. I'm not free billboard space.

/plain clothes revolution.
//i just invented it, right here, right now.
///if you claim otherwise, I'll sue you for patent infringement.

THIS. But at the same time, if there's a product/organization/statement I generally support for moral/ethical/humor/good taste reasons, I will support them. For instance, I own a Houston Texans T Shirt. Because I love them. I want to have their babies, and I'm not even a chick.

I have a che t-shirt. I don't wear it. A real Communist gave it to me at the International Book Fair (FIL) in Guadalajara two years ago.
The guy was from Cuba. He also had cigars.

I keep trying to give it away as a prize to librarians who do dumbass things.

Good, Che shirts are out of hand, and a couple of people were educated that he wasn't a symbol of revolution- but just another scumbag who wanted power.

Plus the dead che shirt is pretty nice. I like it.

"It was clean and I was in a hurry. Oh you don't know the truth, do you? Such is the pity, but I shall take time to educate you: A t-shirt is not a statement. It is a swatch of dyed cotton to keep me warm on cool days and cool on warm days. Now run along little one."

This is so full of WIN!

I am Colombian, and since we have the longest running Guerrilla war in the Americas, I have seen firsthand the effects of his so-called revolution.

I live in the States now and congregate with a lot of artists and musicians, and I definitely love to pass on my personal experiences whenever one of these hipster douchebags tries to tell me how great he thinks Che was.

The only noteworthy thing about this video is that these people herassing other people for their fashion didn't get punched in the face.

The political realities of Che doesn't match up to what his popular image now symbolizes. Get over it.

You know who else is idolized even though they were a direct supporter of death squads in Latin American countries?

This is awesome. Thanks for posting. His picture is cool-looking and all, but in reality Che was a murderous asshole. Probably one of the most evil people in the last forty years.

LadyHawke [TotalFark] 2008-08-30 12:43:04 PM
That was great. I can't help but roll my eyes when people wear Che shirts and hold his image up as some sort of ideal.

Actually, they seemed to know just about everything about Che, where the people they were harassing knew almost nothing. Nice assumption though.

Their answer would be: it keeps me warm, it was cheap, and I don't give a shiat. Seriously, you're railing against the most harmless aspect of marketing in existence. OMG A LOGO!!!!
