I suppose this means he will no longer feel fine?

Michael Stipe needs to look at his passport. Unless it says "Earth" or "Terran Federation" or similar, he's not a world citizen.

everybody hurts, michael. everybody hurts. sometimes.

At least he's not vowing to move to Canada like the rest of the whiners promised to do if Buish was re-elected in 2004. Thank God our government insists that immigrants have an education and some vocational skills before issuing someone a work permit, which takes eliminates at least 98 per cent of the hippie drybacks and 100 per cent of the celebrities.

Michael- will you take Cindy Sheehan with you?

I don't know how we'll survive without you Mike.

Hmm, quite interesting considering that England is about to bring the Tories back to power.

It is unfathomable to me as an American and a world citizen that anyone would vote for that man

But, but, but, what about those Americans employed by the pancake industry?

joe biden is going to mop the floor with palin at the debate.

how can she hope to "debate" biden?

it would be like me debating a three year old over the simple chore of making kool-aid with sugar instead of salt.

so please stay mike.

she'll only be a memory soon.

THIS!

It also takes upwards of 4 years to complete the paper work, including background checks of your entire family. They also have to submit to a full drug test.

That really was pretty stupid. As much as I hate the guy, I'm not planning to leave if he gets elected. I am going to leave if he starts seriously talking about reinstating the draft. I am not going to get my ass shot off for him. I'm OK with dying for my country, but not for his holy wars. Besides, McCain will never give decent support to veterans, given how many times he has opposed it in the past.

Snarfangel [TotalFark] 2008-08-29 11:35:24 PM
I say we lie to him, and tell him McCain won after the election. Then once he's moved, we can all have a good laugh.

That's true. Forget one drug, and they are all like "You're harshin' my buzz, dude," and send you back over the border.

From what I hear McCain wants to buy the sky and sell the sky.

Halfmast Trousers [TotalFark] 2008-08-30 12:15:15 AM
Hey, don't be so hard on the guy. Celebrities can go live anywhere they want.

It's the rest of us who have to apply for tourist and student visas just to visit some countries, or (in the case of people wanting to visit the US), never get a visa at all.

So for everyone in line all night at a US consulate or embassy around the world, Michael Stipe just freed up a spot for you!

Kitwilly [TotalFark] 2008-08-30 12:18:36 AM
He heard the Murmur on Radio Free Europe.

McCain has profited from life's rich demand though he suffered an Orange Crush in Vietnam and he cant lift his arms up to the sky.

Ok I've shot my load.

sounds like he'd be shocked to realize this country is dumb enough to elect someone like McCain.

Does he realize Bush was elected for 2 terms?

Don't worry, bad beer and delicacies like poutine will keep Americans away from Canada.

yes a country that elected bush twice could not conceivably elect an old white man over a black guy.

If McCain is elected president, I don't think anywhere in the world will be secure from the repercussions. A man with a hair trigger temper should not be given access to the US nuclear arsenal.

knoxvelour 2008-08-30 01:59:43 AM
wow...I never thought I'd see the day where Michael Stipe would actually give me the motivation to get out there and vote!

GO MCCAIN!!!!

Saturn5 2008-08-30 02:19:34 AM
I'm still waiting for Michael Moore to make good on his promise to move to Canada if Bush got re-elected. Hell, that's why I voted for W in the first place.

Pilzkopf 2008-08-30 02:21:07 AM
Verdammt, now there are two 'reasons' to vote for McCain and both announced in one day.
To all you people who don't like Michael Stipe, this is not a good reason to elect McCain.
To all you people who want a woman president and are sure the McCain will pop his clogs in less than four years, this is also not a good reason to vote for McCain.
I hope that those of you who would like to have a drink with your president and select him on the basis of which of the two you would rather hang out with have learned your lesson.
That is all.
