I watched the webcast live last night. He's an excellent speaker, though I disagreed with part of it.

/he's a bit better candidate than McCain, though.

He isn't just an orator. Last night he presented a fascinating paradigm of what America is and what it represents. And I have been waiting my entire life for a President that sees the true nature of who we are as a people the way he does.

If you don't get that, and think that it was just a bunch of pretty words, you're a farking idiot.

That's quite a bit different than your original claim that nobody is denying his ability. It's kind of late in the day for you to claim you haven't had your coffee yet.

He also spoke to us like adults, and made it plain that we all have to commit to making these things happen, not just wait for the government to do it for us.

No one not looking to slam his on a percieved strength. The very fact that you keep hitting that shows it's something you're worried about.

Which is hilarious since King George can't speak for 30 seconds without embarrassing the country with his ineloquence. Bush speaks english like it's a foreign language.

Could you specify exactly why I, as an Obama supporter, would be worried about either of the following:

1. people who claim he's not a skilled orator
2. Kapono claiming those people don't exist

Awaiting your answer...

38 million people watching Obama give his acceptance speech is being spun into a bad thing? Really? I am so sick of that shiat.

I'm going to laugh when only 12 people nationwide tune in for McCain's acceptance speech and they try to turn it into a good thing.

///I will be one of those 12 because I want to know what old man has to say
//I also want to play drinking games.

I was disappointed. There were some transcendtal moments, to be sure. But a sizeable chunk of the speech came across to me as more like your standard State of the Union Address: a litany of mostly (taken as a whole) unfulfillable promises.

Obama's done better, can do better, and I'm sure will do better in future. Last night just wasn't the top of his game.

It was like watching Jordan in his prime score 22 points in a game. Yeah, he probably led all scorers that game, but you realize that it was still far short of his potential.

If you watch the video from today's introduction of Palin, McCain has to read her name when introducing her.

Then he stood next to her and stared at her chest.
