It has NOTHING to do with being born into poverty generation after generation and living in a place where you either join forces with the gangs and survive until killed or be killed by them trying to get out. The music is what's keeping them there. Not the lack of family support, government support, societal support, availability of good jobs, access to good education, and general neighborhood safety.
