(Music-News) Sad Iggy Pop injures his leg badly during performance in Longon, after falling from a speaker stack. But it sure isn't the first time: "All these little kids were looking at me thinking, 'Who is this weird old man?'"   (music-news.com) divider line 24

He's always been that way.

In the 60's he would yank the mike stand out of the base and run around singing and swinging it. I went to a show when I was bout 15 or so, stood up by the stage to watch him do it. Poked me right in the arm, punched a big ol hole in it. He ended the show and they carried me into the dressing room, where he and the guys held a tourniquet on it till it stopped, begging me the whole time not to tell my folks. Didn't want to get sued because back then they were farking broke, I didn't tell because I wasn't supposed to be at the show at 2am. He gave me a bunch of things like his silver gloves and shirts and stuff and I didn't tell. Still have the scar today, right under one of my tattoos.

It was fun.

Always wish I could have seen him back in the day but not a lot of good shows popped up in my neck of the woods.

I saw him at the Stone Pony once and he had compensated for dislocating his shoulder the night before by using a belt around his torso to keep his arm in place. Jumped around like a maniac all night. Loudest club show I ever went to.

He told you he was hardcore.

As much as I hate the baby boomers sometimes, their music beats most things that came after, so many good bands from their era.

/there is a comic explaining this.

As would I. I'm willing to bet she's met my hero Johnny Thunders as well.

Oh the stories.
