Walking On Broken Glass. Bonus...Hugh Laurie & John Malkovich.

Sgygus [TotalFark] 2008-08-26 05:26:55 AM
I saw Annie Lennox in concert many years ago, at least I think it was Annie Lennox. Every move, every gesture was choreographed and there was zero interaction with the audience, perhaps I was watching a robot.

Her voice was strong, rich, expressive. I hope she has a speedy recovery.

I wish she would let me go back to 1982 and fark her like a rabid chimpanzee.

I saw her live back in the 80s sometime, it was a great show.

Best of luck to her for the recovery, the Eurhythmics (or however it is spelled) were cool.

I hate "Broken Glass." Her stuff with the Eurythmics, on the other hand, was awesome.

Make it two years later. That would be a sex crime. S-S-S-s-s-s-e-x crime.

Annie Lennox can't walk?!

Tell me...

Hell, I'd still do it. That's a woman who has aged well.

Who am I to disagree?

Maybe not a better headline but a different approach (thanks to Chick McGee on Bob and Tom last week):

Anne Lennox underwent a successful operation on an "impinged nerve" due to a back spasm caused by carrying Dave Stewart for all those years...

Is sad though. Saw them in the mid 80s - good show.

Will Lennox need someone to Carrier?

/Loves me a good HVAC joke.

Then she should lay down her sweet and weary head.

Now this one would definitely get an appletini or 5.

And the article is accompanied by a video ad of some woman having a trip-and-fall in high heels. Brilliant!

I'm a little worried that I laughed at that.

"I can now walk again slowly, without the drag, but it's going to take at least six months of physiotherapy before I start to walk more normally again."

So the headline is not really correct. She can schlep around for the next 6 months, but do the funky chicken, she will not.

I'd give her a good Rheem.

I'd hit it like a Trane.

I'd service her Honeywell.

Still a long list of candidates (new window) - but I've done enough.

You get better, Annie!

/still think she's hot

mfaby 2008-08-26 03:09:23 PM
1) hope she gets better

2) Now the snark: its gonna take her six months to get used to dragging that J.Lo. sized butt around again.

3) Plenum or nonplenum, I'd run her ducts.

Well, yeah, but the big names...covered.

We must have had the real thing while you were stuck with her robot. Saw her in 2004, double-billed with Sting. He had the flashier, more expensive, bigger stage show with all the bells, whistles and pyrotechnics, while Annie had a simple but effective staging. While Sting was good and provided a great light show, Lennox blew him out of the water, performance-wise. I could have left after Lennox was done and missed Sting yet still feel like I had gotten more than my money's worth.

But then you would have missed her come out during Sting's set for the great "We'll Be Together" duet.
(At least they did that when I saw them.)

My guess is that Sgygus walked into a Laurie Anderson concert by mistake.

It doesn't matter. If she wants to flop around in bed like a rabid chimpanzee, then I'll be more than happy to ride her.

For some reason I'm attracted to her. But she looks like Spock.
