If by "stole it", they mean "didn't stay out so Hillary could run away with it", then yes, they're right.

Hopefully it was good practice for the election, since that's how those are won nowadays.

Nice job towing the Republican party line there.

Even if you could prove the caucus process is unfair (which is debatable), it's a competely moot point in regard to this election.

Just like with Michigan and Floriday, Hillary knew the rules regarding caucuses and decided to sign on to them. Kvetching about it after the fact just makes you look like a poor sport. At best.

"Senator Clinton, by all accounts, except caucuses,"
So the process where actual people show up and actually exercise a choice is the problem that should be ignored?
Riigghhtt.
All the back room power play orchestrated crap is supposed to be the real count?
Riigghhtt.
Go back to NY, biatch. Not your turn yet.

Not only that, but Bill Clinton had no problem with the caucus process when HE ran for President. So if it worked for dear hubby, why complain about it now?

GaryPDX: Hillary got swiftboated and the neoLibs got hoodwinked

Followers of free markets, free trade, and entrepreneurial rationality as achieved and normative, as promulgated through law and through social and economic policy-not simply as occurring by dint of nature; and believers in the how the state itself must construct and construe itself in market terms, as well as develop policies and promulgate a political culture that figures citizens exhaustively as rational economic actors in every sphere of life??????

They're hardly getting hoodwinked. They've been organizing out international economic policy since Reagan.

They were the ones who were behind Michelle Obama's alleged "whitey" video.

bronyaur1 [TotalFark] 2008-08-24 02:24:05 PM
If Obama stole the nomination, it is only because Hillary left it on the front lawn of a house in a high crime neighborhood, with 5000 $100 bills taped to it and a big sign that said, "HEY!!! This valuable thing is unwatched right now, and nobody would prosecute you if you took it."

Oh, and she ran national and local radio, television, and newspaper ads to make sure that everyone know it was unwatched.

Yup, he stole it.

cameroncrazy1984 [TotalFark] 2008-08-24 02:26:33 PM

How do these links get greenlighted? There was literally nothing of substance on that page.

On a related note, do you think the guy who runs that site went to his barber one day and was like "I think Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber looked very sophisticated and intelligent. I want that haircut!"

Gosling [TotalFark] 2008-08-24 02:36:53 PM

If by "stole" you mean "won following the rules that all candidates agreed to beforehand".

Barack Obama: The Affirmative Action President. Soft balled by the media in both the primaries and the general election, handed the nomination by the DNC who gave only half votes to MI and FL, never challenged by the public on his lack of experience and substance. Claiming to be the agent of change he is recycling failed socialist policies and surround himself with Washington insiders like Joe Biden....

It's unfair to judge McCain's inability to remember the number of luxury homes he owns without walking a mile in his shoes.

How does McCain's team do with putting themselves in our shoes? Said McCain's economic adviser: "the economy is just fine, and if you have a problem with it, you're just a whiner!"

Maybe that's true for people who walk in $520 Ferragmo shoes.

Is it true for you?

I'm not even clicking on that farking No Quarter blog.

This is the same false flag douchebag that claimed to have the whitey tape, then claimed he knew someone who had it, then claimed he knew someone who knew someone who knew someone that said it existed but won't be released until October because the Rudy Giuliani had it and then gave it Bob Dole.

BOB DOLE HAS THE TAPE, IT'S BOB DOLES TAPE AND YOU CAN'T HAVE IT.

BOB DOLE.

I've come to the conclusion that he really is either a Republican operator or he his foray off the reservation to support Hillary again the party line permanent. Either way, what he has to say means very little to me and I'd rather not give him a couple extra cents by generating traffic he can make money from.

If anyone, ever, had the power to eliminate caucuses, it was Bill and Hillary Clinton between 1992 and 2006 (when Dean took over). They could have twisted an arm, and they would have been gone. The only reason they didn't was pandering to Iowa.

Obama had no power whatsoever to alter the rules of the game to suit him. He just won anyway.

Don't be a playa-hater.
