When reached by phone Thursday afternoon, Ramson said that both men no longer lived there and she wasn't going to worry about it. But she said she couldn't talk because she had company over, and she asked a reporter to call her later.

I'm SHOCKED!!!

So, did the two men know she was farking both of them? If so, then both the guys are asshats. If not, she needs to have her legs sewn together.

Seen it done from a safe distance. It helps when the husband's a happy-go-lucky guy who's genuinely glad to be rid of the psychotic heifer in question.

Oh friend, anyone can get a whore be they nerd or not. Also the nerds vs. Sex thing only applies to high school kids. Once you're 25 and have a great job it isnt the case. Without going into vulgar detail please TRUST me on this.

She could not be reached later.

That's my favorite part of the story. She talked to the reporter while she had "company over" but you gotta figure if she could not be reached later, she must have been really damn busy.

Obviously, she was still "busy" with that reporter.

DRTFA, buuut the people who used to live in my dad's house had this arrangement. the husband lived with his wife and had his girlfriend as a "renter." to my knowledge, this went on for at least a decade before the wife wised up and realized what was going on.

we found this all out because the town has all of 100 people in it, and everyone knew. how the wife didn't is amazing. but she is a drunk...

Futurama_Girl: My boyfriend leaves me smokin' everytime. I can't imagine having anything left over for another man. This polyamory stuff is something I can't even wrap my mind around.

As far as I can tell, open and poly people seem to generally have an attitude to sex and relationships that basically, well, doesn't treat sex as a big deal in itself - all the while treating relationships with a strong sense of responsibility.

It made no sense to me when I was younger either, but now I'm almost sort of of the opposite mind - I no longer quite get how people can lock themselves into a strictly monogamous mindset. Not just in terms of actually being in that one relationship forever, but even just the plain logistics and routine of it. How do you not get acutely bored and frustrated after a few years to the point where it just falls apart?

I find strict monogamy to be something akin to elementary school age children's mindsets of "you are my best friend". Nobody else can be a close friend because the person who is your "best friend" is so possessive of the title that any close friendship with someone else would just cause an emotional clusterfark with your "best friend". I don't know if that makes sense, but that's basically how strict monogamists come across to me sometimes - like their mindset is some kind of neurotic dependency on one single other person that cuts off all others unnecessarily - even if deep down most people realise that different people can and do fulfill various needs for us without the need to artificially limit oneself to a single partner for life.

Ummm, I don't know. I'm probably the wrong person to even have an opinion on this, since I'm in an open-ended break from relationships altogether at the moment. But in a way I feel like that's given me an insight into the whole thing. Seeing the forest despite the trees is easier when you're outside it - that kind of thing.

Not sure I'd ever actively go for an open or poly lifestyle. But I definitely get it. It makes sense to me. Probably more than a religiously strict monogamous mindset makes sense to me.

Melgania: Not sure I'd ever actively go for an open or poly lifestyle. But I definitely get it. It makes sense to me. Probably more than a religiously strict monogamous mindset makes sense to me.

That's kind of where I fall - it makes sense to me, but I doubt I'd ever do it. I did very seriously sit down with my husband and asked if he wanted to have an open marriage to ensure we can both meet all our needs (as we both have desires that are beyond the realm of the other). He didn't want to. I'm still trying to figure out why, since he never did actually give me an answer when I asked him.

/Doesn't bug me that he didn't want to.
//Wouldn't have bothered me if he did.
