Would you rather Obama continue to treat Americans like adults and lose? We've proven we aren't adults, we've proven we can't ignore negative bullshiat. Frankly, I'd rather Obama focus his skills on winning than making a principled stand. I want him to attack McCain, get as close to lying as possible, pull every dirty trick he can think of. McCain and the republicans deserve it, and America NEEDS a liberal leader now. We've swung way, way too far right. They managed to make us apathetic about things we would have crucified past presidents for (Nixon's crimes were little compared to Bush's, and maybe even Reagan's).

We jingle our keys at visiting basketball teams (with the priceless "DRIVE HOME SAFELY" chant) for reasons that don't amount to much more than the fact that they're wearing different colored jerseys than our guys. You don't think we should bump it up to that level for a guy who is jockeying for the spot of LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD? Gee, I hope we don't hurt his feelings.

Come on, guys. Sure, we expect the people on the field to display sportsmanship; Obama is setting the example for running a clean campaign and will hopefully continue to do so. However, we are the fans in this particular stadium, and it's our JOB to be the assholes making derogatory chants and blowing the airhorns.

It's not that I think it's "disrespectful" so much as "mind-numbingly stupid". I honestly don't even think it would do a good job of getting its point across (I'm assuming they ultimately want to convey how out of touch McCain is?). Hell, the purple heart band-aids were more eloquent. That's pretty farking bad. I appreciate the sentiment behind being willing to play dirty to win, but you at least have to make sure it counts. I don't think oblique symbolic insults are going to win over any undecideds.
