As someone who plays a real guitar,I don't know whether to be annoyed or saddened by the fact that there's an air guitar world championship. Between that and the people who seem to believe that being good at Guitar Hero/Rock Band means they're actual musicians really makes me feel my age.

Meh, Air Guitar is only a demonstration sport at the Bejing Olympics, they'll probably won't be competing for real medals until the London Olympics in 2012 anyway.

I have yet to meet anyone who thinks that playing Guitar Hero or Rock Band makes them good musicians. I HAVE seen a lot of pretentious prick musicians that lord over gamers that they play "real" instruments. Said musicians are missing the point.
