"People make up their minds in different ways," Clinton said, adding that "elections have a rhythm"

You know what you call a Presidential candidate who uses the rhythm method? Senator.

DNC 'Real People' Include Working Mom $24M in Debt

(2008-08-22) - The Democratic National Convention speaker line up will feature a number of "real people" talking about the pain of living in these tough economic times, including an Indiana railroader, a Michigan truck driver, and an ordinary working mother from New York who's saddled with $24 million in campaign debt.

The woman, who spent that money in an effort to get a better job, saw her hopes and dreams crushed because of sex discrimination in the Democratic party during the Bush administration.

Her husband has no regular paycheck and must often travel hundreds of miles to find work, so the high price of fuel has cut deeply into their monthly budget.

While she has tried to "pull herself up by her own bootstraps" by asking supporters of presidential nominee Barack Obama to pay off her debt, near-recession conditions have kept them from being able to help.

A spokesman for the DNC said, "This story will help TV viewers to see the brutal impact of eight years with a Republican in the White House. Lots of woman will identify with her plight. After all, she's not the first lady to feel the pain of George Bush's repressive regime."

Is this an Onion article or something?

FTA:
Thursday's campaigning was as much a thank you to local backers as it was a thinly veiled attempt to paint the Democratic Party as united behind Obama.

This comes without any attribution at all. It is entirely the view of the reporter. The jackass who wrote this should be stripped of their press credentials. Blatant opinion and bias.

GAT_00: I'm more worried by the fact that I fully expected that headline to be true.

I did too. I saw a poll that said that 30% of Clinton voters would vote McCain and 20% more were undecided.

That aint good.

The media has done everything they can to make us love Obama and believe that he is a uniter. Whether he wins or loses, he will not win in Reagan numbers, grabbing a majority of the other side.

It's a headline in the politics tab that says something entirely different from the article.

If it reflected the article accurately, then it would be Bizarro Fark.

That's not a very Reaganly thing to say. Don't you have even a millireagan of decency?

mercator_psi [TotalFark] 2008-08-22 05:03:55 PM
You know, as someone who grew to loathe and despise everything that the Clintons are, I feel a little ashamed that I hoped the headline was telling the truth. I wanted the Clintons to go down in a cataclysmic ball of fire. Sadly, they're just a little too smart to permit this to happen. Who would have guessed that the Clintons could exercise restraint?

(And I don't mean the fun kind, with fuzzy handcuffs and such... *hrk* Ugh, had to tamp down some vomit there.)

Yes,
Electoral votes will now be called "Reagans" and Reagan's victory over the foul villain Mondale will be the benchmark by which all overwhelming victories will be compared
