And so begins the first truly arguable use of the img1.fark.net tag, for although I may agree with subby's unspoken assertion that Pam Anderson is a frightening, skanky gas bag with horrifically overdone implants in her chest, lips and ass, the img1.fark.net tag should be reserved for use only when the img1.fark.net can be proven imperically, and agreed upon by a 65% or better majority of TFers (Liters opinions don't count).

Mugato [TotalFark] 2008-08-19 04:31:39 PM
I think the FAIL tag should only be used when accompanied by a picture that can be used as a FAIL picture.

If we can get a pic of Andy Dick grabbing her boobs at her CC Roast, that's fail right there.
1. She let him
2. She didn't get that she looks so manish, he was actually willing to do it.

/Pam Anderson = Jimmy Kimmell with Boobs... and (slightly) less facial hair.

Mugato [TotalFark] 2008-08-19 04:45:07 PM
I remember that. The roast of Bob Saget that was on the other night kind of sucked.

I second the motion. This isn't even Fail-worthy--it's not even news! A guy gets reprimanded for surfing the web at work? Jesus, that happens every day in every company.

Now, if the guy had been videotaped on a desk with a LOUIE Anderson livedoll, that would most certainly be a FAIL of biblical proportions.

Although I'm fairly certain I would NOT want to see a pic of that.

That would be a FANTASTIC standard to use! Too bad nobody is going to abide by it.

Yeah, you'd kick her out of bed. She's WAY below your standards. Sure.

No, the roast of William Shatner kind of sucked.

The Bob Saget roast was a sucktastic failstorm.

I think we need to revise the fail tag because is so damn ugly. It deserves something more than solid colors. I want to see a slightly blurred toilet bowl or something.

I personally would prefer to only have "news" and "news flash" tags as being black. It makes them stick out a lot more and highlights their importance.

Surf Pam Anderson's website.

/is that what we're calling it now?

FAIL at use of FAIL tag. It's sorta like the Ironic tag, it must not be used lightly.

Only use in instances of complete and utter failure. I would say I agree with Boritom but my opinion doesn't count :P

"Chula Vista's highest ranking executive has been reprimanded for his computer usage and asked not to retaliate against employees who reported his looking at "inappropriate images" while at work, it was reported Tuesday."

Person in a high level position, busted for doing wrong = slap on the wrist. Hey I'm gonna go to work tomorrow and surf Met-Art in front of all my coworkers, just to see what my punishment will be.

Great, now the Fark douchebags get to argue about the IRONIC tag and the FAIL tag.

AGREE!

Because TF'ers are here to filter out the crap from the good stuff on regular Fark.

I'm still not seeing how the "fail" tag works better than, say, "stupid" in this case.

Heck, "amusing," "sad," or even "silly," would work.

The "fail" tag is a failure. Also for making me use quotation marks as many times as this in one posting.

A young, pre-hepatitis, only-one-or-two-implant Pamela like you have pictured? No way.

Skanky plastic disease-ridden ho of today? You bet.

So Fark took my farm4.static.flickr.com tag and turned it into img1.fark.net? I like, I like.

But this is a tag that shouldn't be used lightly. Use it when it comes to the dumbass robberies and burglaries.

arghyematey 2008-08-19 07:07:48 PM
And so it begins.

madden101 2008-08-19 07:07:54 PM
I haven't visited her site. Does it have worldwide PETA protest schedules and all-natural Hep C cures? It's not like she's been doing anything else in the past decade.

XMark 2008-08-19 07:08:35 PM
I think an epic level of failure must be a pre-requisite to usage of the Fail tag. This was merely a faux pas.

If only we had some website to go to where we could link to funny things that are not news... Drew, will you look into that?

Garcia's private attorney, Bob Ottilie, told the newspaper that his client has been cooperative with the investigation and has agreed to stop surfing the Internet while at work.

Surfing? What is this, the 90's? You don't "surf the internet", you surf in cyberspace, Ottilie, get with it.

Mugato: ...The roast of Bob Saget that was on the other night kind of sucked.

This. Spent all week looking forward to that and it was a letdown. Gilbert Gottfried and Norm MacDonald (who I loved simply for his irony at a roast) were the only funny bits. Stamos kissing Leachman was worth a smile.

There's been a pissing match in city government here for over a month over the city manager looking at pictures of "an actress in a swimsuit" on his work computer. Pass out the burkas, let's get it over with.

I think you failed in that your post was actually ironic.

You should listen to Alanis more. She'll set you straight on irony and failing.
