How dumb do you have to be to be even too dumb to be a cop?

strangeguitar: Did he do it in class?

No. But the dumbass was pulled out of class to be arrested.

Maybe if they didn't weed out the smart ones (see Moore's TV NATION short on the issue) this wouldn't be so predictable.

Drugs in your cop? It's more likely than you think!

If he doesn't claim to be running some sort of farked up, backwards sting operation, I will be disappointed.

Wonder how long before the cops are selling the cocaine to somebody else for a healthy profit.

I wonder what it will be like being in prison as a failed narc/failed cop/failed drug dealer. Is that like a pity high-five or a shank to the liver?

Why do they print the full address of the suspects? Does the media want him to be harassed? The cops?

wildcardjack 2008-08-17 11:28:00 PM
Okay, I get it.

It's legal for an undercover agent to buy the product, because that proves the charge.

It's illegal for the agent to sell the product, because that is then entrapment.

I assume it is like getting a taser. You have to get zapped before you get one. Same thing here? Can't bust a dealer without experiencing the plight of a dealer?

ultraholland 2008-08-17 11:33:55 PM
wildcardjack: It's illegal for the agent to sell the product, because that is then entrapment.

They can set up a deal as long as they're approached. Kind of like a prostitution sting - the cop can't say "Hey, I'll let you fark me for $20"; the John has to initiate the contact and offer the transaction.

Wow. Already had his hand in the cookie jar before he was even hired.

I wonder how many cops have this "I can't WAIT to abuse my power!" attitude when they are going through academy. I bet there's a lot of effort that goes in to weeding these types out. Unless you're in Philadelphia or Chicago. Being corrupt is probably a requirement in those areas.

A few years back in my town the police department refused an applicant because he scored too well on the exam. Essentially he was too smart to be a cop. From what I have observed of New London's finest, they aren't the smartest group of people. There are some reasonable, smart cops in the department... but on the whole their performance is sub-par.

Anyway, to touch on the real topic, this guy had a half baked idea that blew up in his face. Shame... I'm sure he would've made a good dirty cop.

Why arrest him? He has all the markings of a great bad cop! There are so many now he would have just blended in.

cksewell: Why do they print the full address of the suspects? Does the media want him to be harassed? The cops?

Makes it easier to burglarize their homes.

Chong: "Dave's not here man, he's in jail."

(Burglary ensues)

I don't think undercover cops should be buying cocaine -- they're working, they shouldn't be doing blow.

Now it would be truly Fark-worthy if there were other traffic jams coming off of each arm, thus completing what appears to be a swastika jam.

Did the undercover cop have a sister named Jane?
because if it's the guy I'm thinking of even back in childhood, he wanted to see him in the can.
