I would love that. It'd be so much fun to walk around dressed like a zombie.

100 Canuck zombies mindlessly walk around downtown seeking brains and encounter a republican convention and pass right on by.

FTA: There were several zombie-themed after parties planned after the parade, which ended at a popular beach. Afterward everyone in attendance got stoned.

Makh [TotalFark] 2008-08-17 02:09:17 AM
Zombies aren't threatened by brains.

no, subby, it's not that they're confused as the RNC, it's that they have as much rhythm as the RNC.

FTFA:

"Eilene Sabouran says she came out because she finds that Vancouver doesn't have many fun things to do."

Most likely a recent migrant to Vancouver.

As a native of Vancouver, I'd have to agree though. It's a beautiful city, but something about it, perhaps the attitude of the general populace, makes it dull as Hell.

They have a Zombie walk in Portland Oregon as well. A friend of mine was talking about it. Apparently the last time they did it, all 100 or so of them clamored onto a boxcar that was at a routine stop, and every gosh darn one of them was mumbling "Trains....TRAAAIIIIINNNNSSSSS"

I always think of that whenever I pass by railroad tracks. And it never ceases to amaze me at how easily I giggle at a clever pun.

Ehh... I just woke up from a zombie world dream where all the zombies were free range AND a protected species.

About 100 zombies roam the streets looking for brains... well, at least they aren't on greyhound busses this time.

"Eilene Sabouran says she came out because she finds that Vancouver doesn't have many fun things to do."

That's what I hear about Vancouver, that it's like a teahouse: very pretty and pleasant to visit, but not much to do after you're done admiring it.

The USA screwed up, I guess, by not keeping the Republican zombies under its hat.

/Sorry about the zombies, Canada.
//Doubly sorry they were Republicans.

I don't have any problems with zombies as long as they are strippers.

(You may want to check out the latest Zombie Strippers trailers (new window), starring Jenna Jameson.)

I saw the parade cross the bridge... sadly I couldn't go.

Appropriately, last night was a midnight double feature of Shaun of the Dead and 28 Days Later as part of a 4-hour long weekly horror fest at a local theater. It's Zombie Weekend in Vancouver.

conservative marxist 2008-08-17 05:45:07 AM
I am guessing a few people mistook that for a class 3 outbreak and got out their carbine and lobo.

Perhaps the zombie and republican thing was more like the reason sharks wont eat a lawyer if one falls overboard- professional courtesy.

a bunch of people did this through campus last year when I was in University. It was the stupidest farking thing I've ever seen. My girlfriends roommate was PISSED that she didn't know about it in advance, so she coundn't participate.

/she also talked one day AT LENGTH about witch/wizard shiat and why it was unfair to women. She was completely serious and seemed upset that I wasn't outraged at the inequality of it all. It was almost like she expected me to bring it up at some man meeting.
//"Gentlemen of the world, I believe it is time we allow women to break through the glass ceiling of the witchcraft world."

Put them all in cages, and they can be mistaken for a Democrat Convention.

subby: 100 Canucks dress up like zombies, mindlessly walk around downtown, get confused as Republican convention

No, they didn't. We don't have Republicans up here, subtard. We do, however, have a Conservative party.

Proper Canadian headline: 100 Canucks dress up like zombies, mindlessly walk around downtown, get confused with Conservatives

schattenteufel [TotalFark] 2008-08-17 08:36:19 AM
Why would there be a Replublican convention in Canada?

re-elect_jimmy_carter 2008-08-17 08:37:55 AM
is it convention for republicans to be mindless zombies?

dunno if i'd go that far.

I am sure the boarder will resent being closed up. The Canadian border, now that he may close up.

It's all fun and games until someone with weapons thinks it's a real zombie uprising and starts killing people.

Or worse yet, the real zombie uprising happens and people thinks it's a group of these jerkoffs and innocents get eaten.

I see someone who looks like a zombie and it's not Halloween, I start shooting, wielding or swinging and ask questions later.

The mindless trolls who will vote for anyone if they look and sound good, even if they are unqualified. are Democrats.

There seems to be a lot of confusion this year. First McCain wanders off to campaign in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (where Republicans are few and far between outside of Cabinet). Then Obama sees his bid and raises him a Berlin speech.

If we're not careful we'll have to start turning away Party Conventions at the border.

I hope we get the Democrats. The Republicans have more guns. Let Tijuana deal with them.

moralpanic 2008-08-17 11:45:31 AM
This would have been so much better if they did it at night. Heck, if i was local i would have gone out as a zombie.
