Yet another article devoid of critical bits of information.

Wight Power [TotalFark] 2008-08-16 08:47:06 PM
"Allen said police required him last week to provide proof that the woman was over 18 because it could not be confirmed that she was an adult from the photograph alone."

Well, where are they? Lets put on the vote.

Look, they need expert help on this situation, therefore, we need the photos in question, and our bunks, to analyze them thoroughly.

Critical Bits of information-

Everyone was over 18.

The investigation has/was stalled for an extended period of time before the police investigated another person that was in the pictures.

The Young Woman was in her early 20's, I'd Hit it! (maybe)

He was just doing all that might become a man, damn it! What red-blooded fellow could resist the siren song of young, firm, NUDE flesh?! He should be given a hearty pat on the back and a knowing wink, not a load of disapproving glances!

/ likes naked things

Almost right. We need the girls in question, in our bunks to further analyze them.

Ex-staffer: Tainted official shot pictures at center

Am I to infer that some individuals are not tainted? And if so, what do they have there?

I was amused by the same quote, but we are so not on the same wavelength there, chief.

So he took pictures of some woman over the age of consent on a day when the youth center was closed to the public and everyone is blowing this out of proportion? Sure it's not something you should do if you want to keep your job, but why is he being charged with 20 counts of molestation?

Why don't you have a seat right over there, Dr. Zoidberg?

\RTFA. -WOMEN-. Not children. WTF, shouldn't have done it at a public facility (even if it was closed), but this is a bit extreme.

FTFA:

"snapped dozens of photos as one of the women bared body parts and posed while he, another parks employee and another woman looked on."

An adult woman took off her clothes and posed.

How is this a crime?

And how is this not her fault?

Did I miss something?

There is a level of stupid there. I mean... of all the places to take yer nudie pics... the damn youth center - when you are in charge of the place. Common sense at some point needs to come into play. Go take those pics at your home/backyard/local Motel 6...whatev. He should be reprimanded for being a dumbass. But thats about it - any legal charges coming into the mix is really absurd.

Well now they can get him to cop a plea in exchange for the worst charges being dropped, without having to do any actual detective work or prove anything.

Without hard-hitting journalism such as this we would be forced to confront the fact that a few doxen Somali children get raped every day, just before they are tortured and murdered.
Of course there is always an illegal war and a torture camp in a country we can't vist that your tax dolars sponser, but the important story is that consenting adults did something they all agreed to do and this is obviously an atrocity.

You know what's an atrocity? Your spelling. Mmkay?

Also, the last time Americans were in Somalia, it wasn't very productive, now was it? What the hell do you expect us to do about it, that WOULD be effective *and* welcomed by the local populace, hmm? You want we should have a war on THREE fronts? Three Vietnams? Would that give you a happy, warm feeling deep down inside? Maybe we should write a letter to the sick farks over in that country, asking them if they would please kindly stop farking children and killing them... would that work maybe? Perhaps some UN peacekeeping forces would help. They won't be armed and these people would wash around them like water rushing past rocks, but we'll be doing SOMETHING. Right? Well, no... not really.

If you have some brilliant idea about how to turn animals into humans, do share it with someone. And not us here on Teh Intarwebz. Go share your genius ideas with someone who can implement them. Good luck with that.

I don't share -your- outrage. I happen to channel it to things that are within my ability to effect some kind of change. Instead of ranting about some responses to a random news article, on the internet of all places... Well, maybe you should do the same. Or would that be too much work you? Do you just want to feel superior to the stoopidz Amurricanz?

supernova903 2008-08-16 11:42:47 PM
According to TFA, this guy basically didn't do anything wrong... unless he or the girl were lying about her age. I can see the city having a problem with his being there and taking photos whenever the place was closed though.

If he wants to retaliate;

1. Get a permit to film within the city.
2. Rent that building for a day.
3. Produce a porn film there. (possibly using the same girl)
4. Profit.
5. Send me a copy in exchange for the idea.

enderthexenocide 2008-08-17 12:39:22 AM
so the cops find nude pictures of a woman in his possession and arrest him, then charge him with 20 counts of child molestation without even verifying the identity of the woman in the photos? don't you think the guy they arrested would have told the cops who the woman was? and how did they come up with the magical number of 20? the article says he took "dozens" of photos.

and why did it take 5 weeks for them to interview another guy in the photos? besides, if he was in the pictures, shouldn't they have arrested him as well right away for the supposed child molestation? and why in the hell did he have to prove the woman was over 18? why couldn't she do it herself? why haven't they talked to her yet?

this whole story makes no sense at all.

Obviously, if it'd be a man baring parts and posing, he'd be getting parts bared at for the next couple of years and then part of an exclusive List for the rest of his life.
