Good move, too. It's oddly enjoyable.

Then again, consider the source.

I'll NEVER ever...................ever.......Nevereverevererever tire of that crappy cover of The Final Countdown. I must listen to it at least once a week. I love the casio keyboard. There's gotta be more videos of these guys doing other songs out there.

I'm not even going to click the link and listen to some subpar rendition.

Thank you TMLO-- I like your style.

That actually wasn't too bad.. The Bass player really made the video though.

I love it when people from other countries try and do American Western style music.

/not sarcasm

jaylectricity [TotalFark] 2008-08-16 12:14:01 PM
That's pretty cool. The guitar actually has that old Western Movie twang to it.

They should name themselves the Twang Group or something like that but more clever.

If I had a lighter, I would be waving it to and fro in a moment of solemn agreement.

Why Deep Sunshine hasn't recorded any other masterpieces is beyond me...

Heh, I appreciate your dedication, but it's a pretty solid cover, actually.

Thank you TMLO-- I like your style.

Much obliged, mammajamma - keep on rockin'!

GAT_00: That was...different.

Unless you play that video every day, that really isn't something you see every day.

Alacritous: That actually wasn't too bad.. The Bass player really made the video though.

I *love* the vocalizing during the guitar solo (or rather, what Europe usually establishes as the guitar solo section).

Covering "The Final Countdown" is not an Olympic event... but it *should* be.

It's something that No Country for Old Men desperately needed, yes.

Not bad, they didn't overdo the twangy bit.

How about a Finnish metal version. Link (new window)

A brave attempt, but you can't shine shiat.

The solo left something to be desired...like an actual solo. But a good effort overall.

To do otherwise would be a HUGE MISTAKE.

Great_Milenko: Not bad, they didn't overdo the twangy bit.

And they didn't go crazy with percussion. That could have brought down the whole enterprise.

Gunny Highway: How about a Finnish metal version.

It's strong to the Finnish 'cause we don't need spinach?

Noted and quoted - thanks for the heads-up!

whatshisname: A brave attempt, but you can't shine shiat.

... are you somehow implying that *gasp* "The Final Countdown" is a bad song?

:-/

TeddyRooseveltsMustache: The solo left something to be desired...like an actual solo. But a good effort overall.

This version is nowhere near as good as this grand karaoke-esque version of it, but it'll definitely do, aye. (pops)

dinkalicious: Came in to say this.

Heh, thanks - tryin', anyhow!

would have been better at roughly 2x the tempo

Sub standard. We need TMLO to provide a link to a superior Fark approved version.

An interesting take on an '80s classic to be sure, but what in the world about Norway makes rockabilly a viable genre there?

The deep sunshine version , it is just so horrible...

Somebody sent it too me a while back and I didn't get thru the first 10 seconds. This time, the horror drew me in, like some kind of suck vortex.
Having played in a number of shiaty and great bands over the past decade or so, I just can't believe how absolutely bad that was.
I mean, there are parts that they obviously rehearsed.
Truly, I am speechless and will watch again and again.

CornFedIowan: Came for the Pw8sNoodIDk, leave knowing it's there.

Rest easy, knowing that the mission continues...

mfaby: I dunno, it was interesting, thats for sure.

It's not like this one kazoo cover I heard... but it's still damn good.

madden101: An interesting take on an '80s classic to be sure, but what in the world about Norway makes rockabilly a viable genre there?

The will.

Iron will and sheer determination.

Probably some go-get-'em, too.

vertigo4: Truly, I am speechless and will watch again and again.

I wouldn't have it any other way.
