Something about McCain's response to the Georgia crisis is fishy. If the media does enough digging, it damn sure wouldn't surprize me if he had inside knowledge and the timing was deliberate.

And screw the idiots screaming "tin-foil hat" and "only idiots think Mccain is behind this".. You guys were saying the same thing when people started mentioning Bush and Cheney were manufacturing the Iraq war. Well guess what? Now we have the CIA tape, documented by a prize winning journalist proving Cheney created a fake document to push the war for oil.

History has proven occams razor does not always apply. The people doing the critical thinking (conspiracy theory) are the first steps in exposing corrupt politicans. I personally hope both sides go under "tin-foil hat style" public scrutinty on any decision they make. They may not be right a lot of the times -- but they are a necessary evil.

well, he talks to the president of georgia "several times a day", and one of his top advisers lobbies for the georgian government. it actually isn't that outlandish at all to suggest he had at least a bit of a heads up about what was going to happen.

he did, after all, release a statement about the situation before the white house even had the chance to.

And the uppity old white guy sent his own delegation to Georgia. How presumptious and arrogant of him.

Obama 275 McCain 250 Ties 13

Has anyone else noticed this has been trending badly for Obama since McCain went negative. The "national polls" may not mean a whole lot, but these state polls are starting to show the same trends as the national... Obama's plan was to wait until the convention to start his assault, since McCain opted for public financing and is going to be spending the bulk of his money before the convention... Either way -- the very fact that McCain is polling this closely speaks volumes in my eyes :-(

He's also blown all of his attacks already and has just come even, and Obama hasn't even started.

If I'm advising Obama I'd tell him that he is a huge underdog.. And that winning teams don't let the opponent stay in the game. He should have been throwing the kitchen sink at McCain from day-1.

As a Obama supporter and someone who has donated to his campaign, nothing that his campaign has done up-to-this-point leads me to believe he is going to fight any better than Kerry.

"WE NEVER SEE EACH OTHER!!"

"Maybe it's because you always yell at me about how we don't see each other."
"WHERE ARE YOU GOING??? I HATE YOU!!! COME BACK HERE!!! *sobs* ohgodiloveyou . . . "

Next Week:

We have seen Obama not too much, or too little. The perfect amount of Obama. But is it TOO perfect? How does Obama know so much about time management? A new book suggests Obama has a leftover time machine given to him by his muslim father who got it from his great uncle...HITLER. Obama has denied this, but we will present both sides and let YOU decide!

Ever since Reagan, everyone has complained about how dull and boring the elections are, how both candidates were the same. Particularly true in the last two (not that they were the same, but that so many people were claiming they were.) Now we have two very different candidates, and the one that is most different is being demonized constantly as "messianic" and the darling of the media (as if Reagan wasn't.) So what do people want? Someone different, but not too different?

Get a new farking mantra, 'cause this one is worn out.

RemyDuron 2008-08-15 09:31:24 PM
fark, it's working. The echo chamber is doing it's nasty work.

And yet they still cry liberal media. I don't think some people will be satisfied unless Obama can't go on a news show without the anchors trying to stab him.

/I weep for our country.

It's okay if Republicans do it. That's basically it. The simplest, most explanatory answer is that the media has a horrible bias for McCain. They have ignored his failings and decided to focus, laser like, on every flaw, real, percieved, and blatantly false, about Obama. That's all there is to it. And when McCain wins, people will say "Whew, damn, good thing, we barely pulled this one out with that god damn Liberal media working against us."

It'd be laughable if it didn't mean more wars, poverty, and death.

The average person is worried about paying bills, getting the kids after school, and making supper. The news is what they hear during news breaks on AM radio or what ever is on the local channel before the weather comes on.

The "fatigue" comes from people at work biatching about politics and commericals that repeat day in and day out.

And all "fatigue" would do is cause someone to say "fark it" and tune out and stay home on election day. Not change their vote to someone else.

Welp -- we know which side is most in-danger of having their participants stay home. That is why the Republicans constantly launch "attack ads" and try to saturate the public into hating both sides...

True.

But things are pretty shiatty for people right now. I think its going to boil down to whether or not people are annoyed about too many commericals or pissed off at how shiatty things are.

Obamas 2 million donors make me think people are more pissed off than annoyed.

Are you trying to say the MSM is biased *towards* Obama? If so, you're deluded. McCain says or does something stupid almost daily, yet we're lucky to get one article on any given McCain scandal. Meanwhile, if Obama farts in public, the media goes berserk.

Yes, they report on Obama more...but not all attention is good attention.

The was the media latches onto falsehoods about Obama and ignores true things about McCain?

It's tough, but I think we can overcome that problem.
