Nah...your thinking like on empty, running on fumes, having to coast in, type low fuel. The reality is more along the line of calculating the amount of fuel needed to get to your scheduled destination and just coming up short. This could be while 1/2 tank, or a 1/8 tank, or whatever amount it might be remains. This kind of thing isnt too uncommon with the smaller types of planes.
