did we really expect less of Bush appointees?

"We believe that the matching payment act does permit candidates to withdraw after they have been declared eligible," the FEC's lawyers concluded in their new draft guidance. "Although no eligible candidate may exceed the expenditure limits, the statues simply do not say whether the commission has discretion to reverse its eligibility determination and decertify a candidate."

Kramer: Anyway, it's been two years. I mean, isn't there a statue of limitations on that?
Jerry: Statute!
Kramer: What?
Jerry: Statute of limitations, it's not a statue!
Kramer: No, it's statue!
Jerry: Fine, it's a sculpture of limitations!

On a tangential note, I think a statue of Lady Justice would be cool to pair with Lady Liberty in New York Harbor.

You realize, the FEC is required to carry an equal number of members of each major party at all times, and has been famously stalemated over the years, especially in recent years.

Oh yeah, the Senate gave in to Bush's demands and approved all of them.

He broke the laws- just as he's done since he was a US Representative back in the early 80s hobnobbing with Charles Keating.

I'm glad we don't have judges or anything to decide if he broke the law. We should all just take your opinion and be done with it. You could be Judge Dred!!!

I'm pretty sure that's 2/3rds of nearly every boy's dream - the last third being the dreamer himself.
