That's... odd. Usually when someone dies rather unexpectedly, it isn't just left to "probably" like that.

Maybe they were afraid the thetans didn't die with him and they'd come out and get all over the place if they did an autopsy?

He was under a doctors care for high blood pressure, he had a mild stroke last year, in these cases if there is no evidence of a crime it is usually left up to the family if they want an autopsy.
