I heard that VR were looking at the singer of this band (new window).

SilentStrider [TotalFark] 2008-08-12 08:21:17 PM
last i knew, i think was Duff came out and essentially told the press to knock off the speculation... he'd never even HEARD of some of the people being speculated for the new singer position.
That Kravitz wasn't true? Yeah big shock.

Faux Shizzle 2008-08-12 08:26:58 PM
They actually considered Lukas Rossi for the job?
BWAHAHAHA!!!!

Royston Langdon (Spacehog) still sounds plausible, and some speculate Josh Todd (Buckcherry), since he was part of the group that became VR.

"Contraband" was decent.

"Libertad" was pretty bad.

Hang up the needles, boys. You're done.

why aren't they auditioning Neil Fallon?

Hey, let's see everyone else make a good album.

These guys have put out some of the most popular music.
So the put out an album that didn't strike lightning.

Its as if some people need everything to be perfect, always.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
Guess what? The odds are on their side with this group.

They should be good, they're taking their time, trying out many
listening to many, and meanwhile keeping their hand in.
Likely they were just jammin' or creating new music with Lenny.
So f*ckin' what?

I'll take it as it comes
and more than likely, I'll hear something I'll like, sooner or later,
hopefully sooner...
Not like I'm waiting on Chinese Democracy.

Lenny Kravitz blows dogs for breakfast.

/poseur supreme
//rock on, DUDE

Yeah. Lenny has put out his share of 80 percent garbage. But, I stand by the fact that "Are you gonna go my way?" is one of the most-rocking songs out there.

Yes! Corey Glover still has a shot...

I am reminded of the question I asked my sister when she told me she bought Lenny Kravitz's greatest hits CD:

"Is it blank?"

CheddarPants: I heard that VR were looking at the singer of this band (new window).

Because Clutch should be left well alone.

If you had said "Momma Said" I would agree with your post 100%..

I dunno, if they had a hiatus maybe Tim Sult would use the time to learn how to play outside the pentatonic box *shrug*

they better not have a hiatus. they're doing just fine with side projects while clutch keeps going
for example:
bakerton group (instrumental clutch)
the company band (rockin tunes with doods from puny human and cky)
king hobo (blues music with a touch of prog-rock. what do you expect with the keyboardist from opeth playing the role of front man?)

I hope they go in an even crazier direction and have Crispin GLover sing for them. You ever hear his album? The man is insane.

/his performance for 'What is it' sold me on the "insane" part

They should hire the little Asian girl from Deerhoof if you want to go for "insane".
