Sauna newbs soak the place by sprinkling too enthusiastically. Don't encourage them. Damp warm wood is a terrific microbial habitat.

For the same reason, don't sweat rivulets into the bench and onto the walls; there are these things called "towels".

I was in the sauna by myself once my junior or senior year and a mega-hot freshman chick came in wearing her two piece and laid down backwards on a lower bench in front of me. She stayed a while then left. Another guy came in later and was flabbergasted she was did that and he missed it. I wonder if I could have scored with her? Was that a major come-on, or am I delusional?
