Unlike John Edwards, when I have sex it is always very chivalrous. Jay McInerney thinks highly of my hair, my sex partners, and the drugged sex we all enjoy, so I'm getting a kick of of my own reply here.

Don't start trying to defend Edwards' actions, that's exactly the kind of crap the neocons do. He's f*cking wrong in what he did, no matter what she has ever done with her own life.

Yes. Now if he'd just disappear, I'd be pleased.

Jone Edwards the Slick Lawyer or the Slick Psychic?

Why so riled up? I'm more annoyed at all the freakin' news coverage this is getting than anything else. The guy had an affair--big deal. Happens all the time--just ask McCain. It's a private matter, he worked it out with his wife years ago, and they should just be left alone.

For the record, I'm not defending Edwards. I just have never understood why we have to have others' affairs shoved down our throats 24/7 by the media.

What amuses me about the story is the fervent hope some in the right wing "blogosphere" have that it will somehow reflect badly on Obama and hurt his campaign. Unless Obama was tag teamin' this chick with Edwards, though, I don't see it.

And it was also a chance for that same "blogosphere" to claim they have concrete proof of liberal bias in the "MSM". That is, they could keep saying "Hey, the MSM is ignoring this affair but reporting on Republican affairs!" But until Edwards confessed, there was nothing that any reputable news organization could have gone with. And when he did, they jumped all over it.

They're still victims somehow, they just haven't figured out the details yet.

So John Edwards slept with a drug-addled trollop, and Rielle Hunter slep with a Presidential candidate.

It seems she had better judgment than he did.

Did anyone think she was a sweet innocent woman?

I haven't followed this that much, but when two adults have sex, knowing one of them is married, "sweet" and "innocent" aren't likely adjectives used to describe either of them.

I think it's high time that the influence of drug-addled trollops in our society was spotlighted.

Who are they? What do they want? (Besides that?) Where can they be found?

Drug-addled trollops demand penetrating coverage.

You don't know what neocon means. People defend politicians because of partisan politics, not because of ideology. And no matter how much you wish it weren't true, Democrats do it just as much as Republicans.

I think I have a case of irrelevance in my belly. Also, I don't imagine an upstanding thoughtful woman sleeping with another womans wife. Obvious tag much?

What had me in stitches about this article is that it is supposedly a defense of Ms. Hunter by a friend yet the article slyly inserts all sorts of scandalous details that make her come off as a whore. And a chance to hype his books.

With friends like this who needs enemies.

There are whores in every social and economic class. She banged Edwards and, allegedly, got pregnant by one of his senior campaign staff at roughly the same time. Stay classy lady.

Deflecting the controversy as "so what, others do it" is essentially the same thing. I've seen republicans get called on it with the "buttttt clinton" meme. So yes, there are those in this thread, if not defending, at least deflecting.

I thought McInerney died a long time ago. Guess that was just his relevance.

Man, I can't wait till this election is over.

The only thing REMOTELY interesting about this whole Edwards pile of shiat is that the MSM was either completely clueless or didn't want to report this, and the Enquirer was actually right.

Yeah, it's too bad that she's so lacking in morals that she would have an affair with an obviously married man.

It's just another shining example of the conservative media bias.

For the 10 millionth time, it is (and was) relevant because 1) Edwards was heavily campaigning (maybe successfully) for the VP spot, and 2) had used his awesome, romantic marriage and his sick wife as campaign props.

Whether there's a media bias story here, I don't have the expertise to know, but there's simply not a tenable argument against the relevance of the story itself.

Hell to the YES. Just look at her... you know all that crazy, sick shiat you think would be really hot but you never had the nerve to even admit, much less request? She'd do all that stuff. And well.

Just don't fall asleep while she's still there.

mfaby 2008-08-10 05:31:07 PM
What the fark....

How does she go from 'Lisa Druck' to 'Rielle Hunter'?

I mean what the hell happened to make her change, REALLY change,
her name?

That's a bad sign right there.
