Honestly, with the advent of T9 -- EIGHT YEARS AGO -- it's actually harder and slower to type "OMG R U 4 REAL? NE1 ELSE?" than "Oh my god, are you for real? Anyone else?".

I drove yesterday and didn't speed. I'll be holding a press conference this morning at 11am.

I type out in full sentences with punctuation. In other news, it takes me about an hour to send a text.

I used to text in complete sentences when I had a cellphone. Might've taken a while longer, but I'm sure my IQ didn't drop in the process. Not quite sure what the appeal of texting is. Quick notes are one thing (I did it just to fark around with my friends while at work), but full conversations?


what's worse is people who write actual notes (with pen and paper) in shorthand. Good god it's illegible!

NFW... my problem is I can't spell worth a shiat.

I don't think my grammar ever progressed beyond a third grade level (which is why I refuse to submit a headline) but I have a serious disdain for people who text in abbreviations.

The first time I saw "LOL" I knew we were doomed.

Well, I was going to point out that I use complete sentences, but because I have a phone with a full QWERTY keyboard. However, I see that they guy in the article does too...

I'm pretty sure my little brother does that within 3 or 4 days, and he doesn't have a fancy QWERTY Blackberry. Just a Razor that's held together with duct tape.

I hate to say it, but I wouldn't have had a problem with students, in my classes, texting each other if I knew they were using proper English. But they would turn in papers with god knows what written in place of words. This kid deserves a medal or at least a hot dog and a hummer.
