So the goldfish has swimbladder issues.
And?

/Owner might consider looking into what might HELP the fish.

The fish would be so relieved if someone just gently jabbed his underside with a fine needle. Relieved or explode that is.

Goldfish... the Bic Lighter of pets. Right up there with Hamsters and white mice. Except you might have to plunge the other two if you give them a bathroom burial at sea.

All I see is a tasty treat for Mr. Pink, who gets about 50 to 75 'newsworthy' treats a month on top of his already steady diet of fruit, prawns, and whatever else is handy.

Not a RickRoll... My fish thinks your fish is lunch.

Jokes aside (+ yes, there are plenty), for those who have goldfish who have read this story + then peered at their own finned friends, please consider the following:

A balanced diet, decent water quality + some salt usually solve the probelm.

It could be constipation.
A few grains of epsom salt sprinkled right into their mouths can really help.
Give the fish sinking food i.e. not the flakey stuff.
Feed them frozen peas, minus the shell.
Their stomachs are the same size as one of their eyes, so consider that when you feed them as many die from results of overfeeding.

After dealing with my wee buds' suffering, I learned a lot.
But don't give up.

/Still miss getting my nose +/or finger nibbled by the little buggers when I dipped it in the tank.
//Nothing kinky there, I swear.

More specifically, that's an oranda, a so-called 'fancy' goldfish.

/That growth thingy on its head is a 'wen', just a kind of skin tissuey growth, but at my house, we enjoy calling it a 'brain hat' as it looks like a brain-shaped hat.
//Quite squidgy if you touch it, like an ever so slightly mushy callous.
///Just sharing info you'll probably complain about never needing unless you've got an oranda.
