Good.

I don't want to see anybody's fundus, even if it belongs to a mannequin.

SpinStopper [TotalFark] 2008-08-09 01:54:35 PM
Good grief. All that means is that the mannequin had sex.

This happens all the time ;)

Pregnancy is controversial. Everyone knows babies just happen.

GAT_00 [TotalFark] 2008-08-09 02:17:16 PM
In other news, old people get angry when they see things they don't like.

Chariset [TotalFark] 2008-08-09 02:25:53 PM
I'm really confused. She sells lingerie for pregnant women. Why is it controversial for her to have a pregnant mannequin?

SilentStrider [TotalFark] 2008-08-09 02:54:02 PM
I'd hit it.

H_is_for_Heretic 2008-08-09 03:19:42 PM
Do they think preganant women don't wear underwear? Did they write a letter of complaint to Jessica Alba? Why would you name a headless torso? Last question promise- at what point, if any, is a woman too pregnant for action?

Dennis_Moore 2008-08-09 03:35:46 PM
They should replace it with a taxidermied stork.

I personally would put the sexy angels wings on the mannequin.
Upset the real religious nutters.
And how can a mannequin get pregnant, since the male mannequins don't have penis?

/Wheres that story from about 5 months ago about the guy who poked a one inch hole in the mannequin for sexual pleasure?

LocalCynic 2008-08-09 03:38:47 PM
Preggers = hot. And you know they put out.

Caleb154 2008-08-09 03:39:49 PM
The mannequin needs to be out front my mom told me women get fat bellys so the stork can find women who want babies but if shes hiding at the back the stork wont see her

vsync 2008-08-09 03:41:26 PM
She said: "They [the breastfeeding group] were a bit upset

Of course they were.

Hi, welcome to the 21st century. You wouldn't know it by the huge amount of Victorian-era "shock", but it is indeed the 21st.

I tell you what...if a few old people complain about it and tens of thousands don't, why dont' the majority of the people 'win'? Tell the person(s) that complained to STFU.

ErinPac 2008-08-09 03:43:47 PM
Lingerie on mannequins isn't offensive, but the larger stomach, even when covered up is? How? How is a fake stomach, in a shop that sells maternity wear, offensive if fake boobs, lingerie, etc are not? They'd rather have Fredrick's of Hollywood mannequins or something?

I just don't even really get why they are complaining, since it apparently had nothing to do with the clothing, or covering it up more.

Chastain86 2008-08-09 03:44:19 PM
Maybe I realize I'm in the minority here, but pregnant women are sexy.

Eureka! Obese mannequin.

H_is_for_Heretic: at what point, if any, is a woman too pregnant for action?

Some people use sex to induce labor, so it's never too late ;)

remember folks; Vagina != Uterus

coxinha 2008-08-09 03:45:31 PM
Good. If the mannequin wants to go out in public with a big pregnant stomach, that's fine, but it should have the decency to cover up. Nobody wants to see the stretch marks in your plaster, you headless attention whore!

Gordon Bennett 2008-08-09 03:45:39 PM
The stupid. It hurts.

citizen905 2008-08-09 03:46:28 PM
Someone should go door to door to every house in England, and show people that picture of the pregnant mannequin, and ask them, "Does that offend you?"

Anyone who says "yes" gets shot in the face.

Jose628 2008-08-09 03:47:00 PM
The one time the lingerie industry is indeed thinking of the (unborn) children... and you people complain.

DIAF.

It's always those farkin' blue haired old ladies that want to turn the clock back to the "good old days" when they would probably not have lived as long anyways.

As others have said, never. I like to think of late term sex as "riding the bearded pumpkin". Sadly, my youngest is now 10 years old, so it been a while. I still feel a little funny in my pants when see a woman in her third trimester.

I'm quite normal otherwise. really.

Chastain86: Maybe I realize I'm in the minority here, but pregnant women are sexy.

As someone with a pregnant wife, I heartily agree.

There's a guy that'll mod 'em to be pregnant, urinate (BYOU) and have realistic amputations. If only my dreams came true that easily.

Try this sometime. Next time you are in a store, I know Target is good for this, take a look at the signs hanging around. Notice the ONLY ones that have wedding rings visable are the ones in the maternity section.

The real question is who knocked up the mannequin. Could be an interesting paternity suit here.

zinful 2008-08-09 04:03:49 PM
Anyone else sorta hate the term "baby bump" ? It seems invented in a secret flying invisible lab of stupid tabloid scientists with green rubber gloves and evil sneers.

Protesting a pregnant looking mannequin? Some people have too much time on their hands. What will they biatch about next? Women breast feeding?

Oops, they do that too.

/Maybe the greens are correct. Humans may be the antitheses of nature.

I suppose they should be glad the mannequins also weren't outfitted with giant pokey nipples that shot milk at passersby.

Vangor [TotalFark] 2008-08-09 04:10:52 PM
So...they're offended that the mannequin is wearing underwear and appears pregnant despite the store selling maternity underwear?

They should also be glad that they weren't given grotesuely oversized male genitialia under their knickers.

I mean, if they're going to complain anyway, might as well give them something to complain about that is good for a giggle.

I would pay money to have that in a store window.
