Bush: Georgia crisis endangers regional peace

If there's one thing the Idiot Emperor know about it's how to endanger regional peace.

In other news Vladimir Putin laughs so hard he wets his pants at Bush's strongly worded response.

Bush cries, pounds tiny fists on US bill to increase the national debt to 15 trillion dollars.

Russia just showed their cards. This is a clear stand up maneuver to protect Iran. It's not coincidence there's an oil pipleline running from the Caucuses, through Georgia and down across Turkey. It's a large feed to the EU. Georgia is a western ally, if not officially. Look at the map, Russia just secured Irans back and sent the signal to Tehran, and the world, they are backing Iran against the west.

They have been doing arms deals in Saudi Arabia and sophisticated air defense deals with Iran. They've established a strategic alliance with Venezuela and threatened bombers in Cuba. The Russian are on the agreesive move again..East verses West.

Where have you been? We've known for a long time that Russia and Iran were allied against the USA.

Okay..let's take a look at this. Russia is backing Iran. See that green dotted line? That's an oil pipeline to the west. It primarily feeds the EU but look at the corridor from Russia down to Iran. This basically seals up that supply corridor to protect Iran from western influence. The Israelis are pissed off big time with Russia's sale of a very sophisticated SA300 air defense system. A system that can track, target and fire on 100 bogeys at a time from 80 miles away.

This isn't about some folks in Ossetia..this is east verses west shiat again and it's not a "cold" war any more.

Tex Colorado the Arizona Assassin: Where have you been? We've known for a long time that Russia and Iran were allied against the USA.

Actually, they've just been business partners. Now they really are allies and they are attacking, shoring up the supply lines south into Iran and grabbing a major oil artery to the EU. Watch, Iran is going to get much tougher on their rhetoric now further pissing off the Israelis.

Yep, thanks to Cowboy George and his preemptive war policy, anytime America now tries to act as a peace-maker, it's just going to come across as hypocritical bullshiat...

but more importantly, Russia is letting the world know it's still around and it still has a fair bit of power to wield.

As far as pipelines and oil supplies are concerned, from Russia's point of view, American forces essentially controlling Iraq and Afghanistan is a threat. Also, American forces training the Georgian military and proposing American "missile defense systems" in Poland is a threat.

If the shoe were on the other foot, it's a given the US would be doing a fair bit of pushing back as well.

I'm not sure what to make of all this at the moment, but it seems like a very precarious moment...

Hmmm. The only thing I got from actually RTFA was "the United States is working with its European allies to launch international mediation, and working with all sides in the conflict to restart the dialogue."

How DARE the U.S. try to end the conflict with negotiations! If we don't come out and say "KILL KILL KILL BOMB BOMB BOMB" then we can't biatch and whine about the Evil Bush Satan Monkey and that would be no fair!

No, but Georgia has an extremely important oil pipeline that runs through it. About a million barrels a day. Look up the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.

Thread over. You win.

This is also going to be an advantage for the liberals that will be voted into power in 2008.

You come at the public with some of that lame outrage about a lie by a Dem and there are gonna be a million lies by cons thrown back in your ignorant face.

With the Olympics on, the 1980 Olympic boycotts are being talked about. Fascinating decision. But, now, exactly what separates what the USSR did in Afghanistan with what we did in Iraq?

I often chuckle when one of these "ditto dorks" complains about somebody not taking them seriously.

What in their behavior would cause you to see them as grounded in reality and worthy of a real answer ?

Their admiration for our failed frat boy pResident ? Their "quality" sources like their hate radio ?

But since it's only Russia crushing skulls under tank treads timed to be hidden by the Olympic fanfare, we'll probably see a trickle of posts. And half of those will be about how Georgia had it coming to her whore ass because she dared to cozy up to the USA. Putin and his aggressive bullshiat is getting old. Good thing, though, between this and Iran saying fark you to Europe, the Dollar is going to get strong again :).
