Somebody please make it stop!! This ride, I want to get off now.

Exhibit A: The Media in this country has lost sight of thier true role as the Third Rail and now suck horribly.

What is this, National Salute to John Edwards' Affair Day or something? I'm not surprised when the feebs at CNN or Fox News run the same headlines over and over again, but I thought we were a little better than that here.

/waits nervously for an endless string of "Hot Random Blonde Goes Missing!" headlines

Yep -- we have a f'n forged letter that can be traced directly back to the Vice President w/ numerous sources... But instead lets cover the "Edwards" affair.

/BTW -- great job waiting for the Olympics Edwards.. You sound like a giant douche bag in the interview, and it still sounds like you are full of yourself..

Perfect play:

Elizabeth Edwards divorces him on Monday, takes the children and the house.... Obama announces that she is going to be a high member of his cabinet...and that he is considering her for VP... Says he admirers her for doing the right thing when it comes to cheating bastards, unlike some "other" women.

Can we just say it doesn't matter, since he dropped out of the race? Without the affair, he'd drift off and become another Dukakis or Kerry. Amusing but irrelevant.

Thanks for all the media whoredom, Eddie! I'm sure your contrition will be a big help to your party.

Magruda 2008-08-09 06:15:07 AM
Finally we get down to what really matters. Ed is so craffty he tried to distract us with some forged letter thingie that i already forgot about in the mist of this hot sex scandal.

I mean what is treason comparred to a babymomma?

Halfmast Trousers: Can we just say it doesn't matter, since he dropped out of the race?

He was still a significant figure to his party. He likely would have been given a key speaking slot at the convention (his endorsement appearance with Obama was a P.R. masterstroke), was under consideration (remotely) for veep, and certainly under consideration for a Cabinet position. I don't think this will end his political career, but it should definitely impact his relevance as a party player. If he'd have come clean a couple years ago, maybe this would have been over and done with. Maybe it's like the steroids scandal in baseball... Andy Pettitte owned up and ultimately seems to be given a pass, but Roger Clemens is screwed because he continued to lie about it. And Edwards is only admitting that which he cannot continue to deny, yet he still acts incredulous at the other allegations which he can, for the moment, avert.

Yeah, it's not like he started a war for profit or anything.

pffft... The story is false, and that "interview" is a fraud. Believe me, I've seen a few 'shops in my time. You can tell because of some of the pixels. And I'm pretty sure that Reille Hunter woman is anamatronic.

I thought affairs and out of wedlock babies were bonafides these days for Dem's !
I thought only those professing to be pure as the driven snow like Baker and Swaggart and a few more Flamewhore Trolls were subject to scrutiny on that subject.
Eh ! What would I know , past prime and into racing cars and keeping a fast one so I can't get cornered by em .

Although I don't give a fark about Larry Craig's affair in the extramarital sense, what he did was illegal and gross. I have pissed in those shady bathrooms and it is farking weird.

The far right-wing radio station in my city is really obsessing over this whole thing, I think because it's the most incriminating information they could find on Barack Obama. Srsly.

That and this is the first time they've even come close to being right about anything in years, regardless of how irrelevant it is to the state of our nation.

It looks like they're using this as a stick to beat the mainstream media with to cover their other bullshiat.

From TFA: Last night John Edwards appeared on ABC's "Nightline Friday" and discussed the revelations surrounding his extra affair with Miss Rielle Hunter.

So he had an affair with one lady, and an extra one with this Hunter chick? ;)

Translation: It's a Democrat, so it's 'not important' and we should 'just get on with other things'.
