I love Obama, and hope he wins the damn hell out of this election. But honestly, a 3 second cameo in a movie is not an argument. Now, if McCain was in the titty scenes about 10 minuntes later, then yeah, I think we can all agree on the hipocrasy. But at the time, he was a senator, playing a senator, in a movie somewhat about politics (like, 1%, but shutup). It's not like he's on laugh-in saying "sock it to me" and stealing his opponents... wait... nevermind all that.

How about everyone just gets their heads out of the "liberal" or "Conservative" anuses and do the right thing? Vote for who you think has "most" of the same beliefs as you. No one will. Ever. And all you can do is either run yourself, or pick the lesser of 2 evils. Quit letting some party of rich assholes decide which moral system you believe in.

this isn't an argument. this also isn't from obama. this is simply a rather simple rebuttal to mccain's argument that obama is somehow a "celebrity". mccain is the one doing movie cameos. it's not that we think less of mccain for doing it, because really, who gives a shiat. it's that mccain has no standing to try and act the part of the media recluse who would never make himself into a pop culture item.

Here's the weird thing.

And for what it's worth, I think McCain's original "celebrity" ad was stupid, and this as a "response" is stupid as well. What's the problem with a politician appearing in a movie? Of course, I may be biased -- I've spent the last 30 years in California, and look who our governor is...

People actually think "tu quoque" arguments are clever. They're not but their apparently very effective.

The McCain camp seems pretty desperate,with their ridiculous ad campaign. but I don't think they really have a lot to fear. I think voters are going to be split--between age groups. Under 35 will vote for Obama---Over 35--McCain.

McCain's going to win. Not because I want him too, but because the older demo has more voters and they will most likely vote for the guy they feel they know better.
