He likes Sheryl Crow? I... I don't know what to think about that.

John McCain would never stoop this low, I tell you what.

jetzzfan [TotalFark] 2008-08-07 07:23:14 PM
This just proves that Obama is a media whore.

brap [TotalFark] 2008-08-07 07:25:54 PM
I'm still figuring out which sick bastage, knowing I will read ANYTHING cover to cover, sent a subscription to Entertainment Weekly to my home.

Outtaphase [TotalFark] 2008-08-07 07:26:02 PM
I was always into the Spider-Man/Batman model. The guys who have too many powers, like Superman, that always made me think they weren't really earning their superhero status. It's a little too easy.

Pong? And McCain's old?

He should at least at have some Commodore 64 or Atari 2600 to throw out.

In all honesty (both articles) made them sound pretty human. I know it's superficial stuff, but it would be good to see this "human" side of them a bit in the debates.

Maybe 5 minutes dedicated to debating the best TV show currently on the air (Whoever picks Mad Men gets my vote).

Etchy333 [TotalFark] 2008-08-07 07:41:01 PM
Clearly, the moderators have shown they are shamelessly biased for Barack Obama by greenlighting this article.

Boritom [TotalFark] 2008-08-07 09:05:55 PM
Based on the crap in this article, I'm voting for McCain

Megain [TotalFark] 2008-08-07 09:12:54 PM
that seals it - he just lost my vote. why was there no spoiler warning about the ending of born free? i was planning on watching that one of these days. bastard. and fark you too ew for allowing him to ruin a possibly decent movie for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. that's just not cool. now i'm too afraid to click on the mccain link because i don't know what other nefarious crap you have up your sleeve to dash the hopes and dreams of potential web page clicker people like me

john_d_corr [TotalFark] 2008-08-07 10:06:58 PM
Megain, you are most nefarious. Moo hoo ha ha ha!

But seriously now, he hates HGTV & American Idol, likes M*A*S*H*, Spongebob, Sinatra, Coltrane & Dylan AND has sympathy for animals (Born Free)?

How bad can he be?

Probably true, though you'd never know it by living in MOST of Illinois, like where I grew up. There are like thirty Democrats in a 20 mile radius.

McCain's tough. He's got chops, and he's a maverick. I tink McCain'll make dis a tough, close election.

Obama 537, McCain 1.

He's pussywhipped.

Now I don't know who to vote for.

Did the assassination greenlight just get pulled by the secret service right in the middle of me typing up a pithy reply or what?

/really Barrack, HGTV?

Could just go with A certain Coach Ditka.

You'd automatically win every thread.
Unless Ditka posted.

...and Obama actually seems more out of touch than McCain for a change.

ya see what I did there? hurr

At this point I'm still voting for the guy. An EW interview is, as the tag appropriately suggests, kinda silly and useless. I wish he was more nerdy, though.

If he would have said something like "I like Batman. The guy carries a goddamn toolshed on his belt. He's a normal guy and yet he defies physics in that sense. He painstakingly crafts every object he owns into the shape of a bat. shiat, he beat Heath Ledger before Heath Ledger beat Heath Ledger." I'd give him some props.

So, the "guy you can have a beer with," except in nerd form.

I was always into the Spider-Man/Batman model. The guys who have too many powers, like Superman, that always made me think they weren't really earning their superhero status. It's a little too easy. Whereas Spider-Man and Batman, they have some inner turmoil. They get knocked around a little bit.

Why so serious?

And, at this moment, the Obama fluff thread leads the McCain fluff thread by one post! How does this translate into electoral college votes?
