So, who's going to get booted for Hillaryis44.org?

Oh...that's right. She was supposed to have won to get whooped on now...

It's more likely than you think.

Well, now he doesn't have to be so 'quiet' about it.

MaxxLarge [TotalFark] 2008-08-07 05:50:46 PM
Well, he gave money to Obama.

That's sort of a "you can't fire me, I quit" moment right there.

Are they going to boot out Chuck Hagel too?

So is that a bad thing or a good thing?

And why is a tax law professor smiling anyway?

How is one kicked out of a political party? You register to vote as X party, there fore, you are in the X party. But backing from the party could disappear for voting for Y party.

I assume the article means he lost his party backing?

Well, he lost his position on the Committee. Then, was asked to leave the party, and he did. If he was in it to do anything with politics(and not just voting), they were telling him he was done.

Not when they keep getting kicked out because of independent thinking.

If the Obama campaign is smart they'll give him a position in the campaign. Not director or anything, but put him on the job of talking with disgruntled Delaware Republicans about why Obama is the best choice.

Delaware_Bill 2008-08-07 09:28:59 PM
This was in our paper last week. He was expelled from the state committee, not the party. He also was dropped as a delegate from the convention this year. Ting is a border fence zealot. He has written numerous op-ed pieces in the paper. He is also a rich Alopocas hypocrite. Him and his family fled China and now that they are safely here he wants to put up barriers to others coming to this country.

I went to Temple law from 99 to 02. You should have heard him after 9/11. He supported racial profiling and IS a Mexican fence crackpot.

It was a crazy time to be in law school.

That is the most horrible thing anyone has ever said ever. Wow.. I mean.. do you think you can accept a free internet and still lug those balls around?

When I was at Temple Law, this man argued on behalf of Bush in '04 during the mock debates.

I can't believe he supports Obama - "quietly" or otherwise.

Ftfa:

The Delaware Republican Party's standard-bearer in the 2006 race for U.S. Senate has been expelled from his positionin the state GOP.

Headline from article:

Tax Law Professor Expelled From Republican Party for Supporting Obama

Doesnt sound like the same situation even in the same article (and fark headline for that matter)

and from wiki:

As Sahm later recalled, Ting asked if he was being asked to resign from the Republican party; Sahm replied, "If you can't be loyal, that might be best for all concerned." Ting later referred to his resignation as an "expulsion."

He was asked to resign for not supporting the candidate of his party. Sounds perfectly reasonable. The same way lieberman was ousted. It's silly to be part of a party's leadership and support the opposition. Join the other party.

Of course, arguing logic on fark is silly too. so there you go.
