His stomach looks like he's in the middle of a horizontal bungee jump.

Fortunately the thieves left behind the pulleys, wedges and inclined planes.

This just in: if you stole a bass from Mike Watt, you're a dick. More at 11.

And some Minutemen fan is bound to find the guy and give him a kitshicking.

Hey mike, next tour call Gibson, they will send you a relic free of charge, no one will know. Leave the real deal at home.

I did. I can say, for the record, that they put on a better show than The Killers.

Forget it

It's gone

Scattered around a dozen pawn shops in Montreal. A small, local band (who actually did McCartney first part in Quebec City) had all their gear stolen from their truck last winter, never saw a single piece back.

I dunno, SY recently got a buch of gear back that was stolen nearly a decade ago.

And it's not like this was some bass off of musiciansfriend or anything- a vintage piece like this is worth a small fortune, and will easily be spotted.

Who the hell rips of Mike Farkin' Watt? He's the nicest guy on the farking planet!

Watt was involved with SY as well (maybe not at that time)
Maybe people just like stealing stuff when he's around.

Also, I keep thinking of Watt's unwitting contrubution to "Providence," upbraiding Thurston Moore for loosing a bunch of crap.

Times have changed, I recall when the Stooges would have just forgotten where their equipment went.

One time, Scott Ashton, the drummer tried to drive their 12 foot high truck under an 9 foot bridge...fun times.

/this tho' is no fun either
