There are some neato WWII bunkers up the California coast off of Highway One that I saw on my trip recently.

Thankfully I finally came across some signage that verified they were in fact bunkers as some guy was trying to convince me that they were old septic tanks after I had been crawling around in them.

How can these bunkers' locations still be a secret at this point? Don't historians have access to Germany's WWII files and their secrets? Or did they have shredders back then?

Should I go to an information booth with all my questions? Should I fake my orgasms?

No shredders... but fire existed. Record keeping during a war is generally frowned upon. Likely the initial deployment plans were burned and then a farking storm covered it with sand.

You could always make a blog.

I was looking at this though that the Nazi's had terrible house keeping if they considered this to be "as if they left yesterday"

And don't forget that the Allies were blowing lots of German shiat up. US bombers or Ruskie Katushyas could have destroyed them too.

I thought the same thing. No, it doesn't look like they left yesterday. It looks like the place has been rotting for decades.

I doubt that they were ever actually "secret." More likely, they were just forgotten about. With thousands of these all over Europe, the chaos of the time makes an empty bunker pretty unimportant. Eventually, people forget about their location, sand covers them up and they're lost until something like the storm happens. You'd be surprised about how many things become "lost" after 50 or so years if no one makes a point of remembering them.

One of the three bunkers was an entrance to the underground alien bases. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised which one is the entrance.

Nah, stick with the MP-40.... there's always more ammo laying around in a bunker

When I was a kid in the 1970's I used to play around old German bunkers on the Pte de Grave on the Atlantic coast. Jebus X there were a lot of them, and they were some seriously thick-cement buildings.

In some places people had converted them into houses. I hear the French govt is tearing most of them down now.
