This would be the US if you guys had no infrastructure and international standing.

Come on buddy, just trust me, guy... don't worry 'bout that, pal...

And you'll be a trillionaire again in 3... 2... 1...

/It'd probably be easier to just use scientific notation than to try to keep up with removing zeros to cover up the inflation there.

I think if they could figure out scientific notation, they'd figure out that Mugabe needs to be shot and killed.

The US seizes white land and gives it to people who don't know how to farm?

/go learn some history.

You know who else revalued their currency?

/a 'milliard' is a thousand billion (10 to the power of 9). Americans call it a billion because fark you, standard mathematical notation!

Is that Zimbabwe's space shuttle above the camel on the 100 billion note?

I think I'm going to do the reverse and count all my money with 10 extra zeros. I just checked my wallet, and I have on my person $420,000,000,000!

Bow before me peasants!

Mcamp: Is that Zimbabwe's space shuttle above the camel on the 100 billion note?

At first glance I thought it was the flipping of the bird.

If I had to pay $100,000,000,000 for a one way bus ride to work, flipping the bird would be appropriate.

Frankly, they deserve what they get to some extent when you consider that some reasonably large portion of the country supports the blatant racism and general thuggishness of Mugabe and his people. There's a lot of good people suffering, but there's a lot of very bad and unjust people suffering as well.

This might possibly be the single dumbest, most ignorant thing ever said on Fark.

So, you're trying to say that this would be us if America happened to be located in Africa and ruled by despotic warlords for the past 200 years instead of by Rule of Law & a Free Market. Yeah, okay buddy.

BigG 2008-08-03 01:59:56 PM
I used to count in millions then, but now I only count in one.

Certainly not the Nazis, they were a bunch of obscure crackpots back then.

This is harsh and undeserved coming from a rich American, but she sounds like a wealthy socialite voting in Hitler, then complaining that he had her Jewish servant killed.

Thread's long over, why can't I bring Godwin in?

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick, she voted for the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), not for the guy with the funny little mustache. She's complaining because she fears the MDC are letting themselves be negotiated/intimidated/bribed out of existense and that ZANU-PF will remain in power pretty much forever.

"Last night I was a trillionaire, today I'll be using coins"

Says the first customer of George W. Bush Financial Services in February 2009.
