Will it star John McCain as a geriatric Captain America, the defender of the country from the young, attractive, terrorist Muslim named Obama?

/didn't RTFA.

/I really kind of want to track down a copy, just to see how bugfark ridiculous it is.
//Left: G. Gordon Liddy. Right: Sean Hannity. Me: Not kidding.

You can actually read a good portion of those comics on their website. They're probably worse than you cold ever imagine, take it from me.
Buuuuuuuut.... if you're still curious: Link

Wow. It's like Rumplestiltskin. Right-wingers spinning comic books from straw.

If reality isn't careful, it's going to put all the satirists out of business one of these days.

Wait, J. Scott Campbell is doing this? I didn't actually read TFA.

So basically issue #3 will come out around October 2010.

Holy shiat, they are some seriously farked up hateful little princesses, aren't they?

I like this one, which is at least based on facts from the past (and not delusions about the future).

I saw a children's book about Obama and his life at the bookstore yesterday. For the sake of equality, I noted that a McCain one was not also present. I told my husband I was torn about that - not a McCain supporter, but can you imagine a more boring book?

He pointed out that a tale of McCain's life could not be at all boring; we've been wanting to know for decades how the dinosaurs evolved, and here could be a first hand account!

/he doesn't read much fark
//I still laughed my ass off

WIN for the Phreak Brothers reference.

Obama should get the comic book treatment via Ranma 1/2 style, but this time Obama is cursed by falling into the creek of the drowning white man.

McCain should get the treatment via Sailor Moon.

brantgoose 2008-08-03 04:06:20 PM
Is Robert Smigel attached to this project? If not, go to LAME ASS FAIL.

Peter Bragg would also be acceptable. He's done Bat Boy and HATE. His style could make it work.

But Smigel would be my first choice. That Saturday Evening TV Funhouse "Heart of Darkness" parody of McCain was the one of the sharpest, meanest, most evilest and bestest pieces of American satire ever.

/Fan of Twain, Mencken and Bierce. Great America Haters and Patriots all of them. (I mean Ambrose, not Amanda, but she's fine too. Birthday: August 9. You go Leo girl!). For that McCain parody, I can forgive Smigel the lame work he and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog did during Conan's trip to Canada. Some of it was good, some of it was lame.

Are you allowed to make a comic book about Muslims?

Ya'll better watch your backs...I'm just sayin'.

If that animation is meant to represent McCain, you better add some gold fretting to the bill of that cover. He wasn't a junior officer ;)
