Well. at least you had the consideration to label the link as some mental midget's blog, so I didn't have to waste 30 seconds confirming what I suspected from the headline...

Even worse- he just rote memorizes them. F*cking cheater.

Fixed that for you, dumbass blogger.

Oh. Is this the McCain talking point this week? Did they finally notice that their "race card" strategy had flopped?

Ok.

Cyberluddite [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 06:29:27 PM
Funny, I thought he did OK in the Dem debates. I guess he was using a teleprompter in those debates, because if this jerkoff blogger says he can't work without a teleprompter, well then it certainly must be true!

cameroncrazy1984 [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 06:33:23 PM
Yeah, Obama was totally working with a teleprompter at the townhall today when he handled those hecklers so ba...oh no wait, he did that pretty well.

CheddarPants [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 06:50:26 PM
They'll debate. And McCain will look like an idiot. Book it. Done.

CravenMorehead 2008-08-01 06:52:59 PM
I think this is a case of projection on the part of this "writer". The whole "He's a disaster. The gravitas gap would be substantial, noticeable and embarassing." thing applies to McCain and the right is scared to death of Obama.

kronicfeld [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 07:04:58 PM
The McCain camp is maybe one or two steps away from the "He talks like a fag, and hit shiat's all retarded" argument against Obama.

The guy is noticeably less smooth when speaking unrehearsed. Is that going to make a big difference to the people that are already going to vote for him? Nope.

I've heard from reliable inside sources that they're going to skip that and go straight to "He's got cooties!"

This differs from 99.9% of politicians (and other people) . . . how, exactly?

I also have heard nasty rumors that Obama cannot see things as well in the dark as he can during that daytime, that his voice sounds weaker when he has a cold, and that the air around him smells bad when he farts.

Exactly. But to most of the Obama kool-aide drinkers, he somehow transcends this and is not only smooth and cool all the time, but above criticism about it. It's annoying.

Anyway, I'm not voting for the guy because my politics do not line up with him, not because he has too much flash. I am in the minority though, and realize it.

ManRay: The guy is noticeably less smooth when speaking unrehearsed.

From what I've read he used to have a bad stutter and his speaking off of the cuff shows it. He takes his time formulating what he says before he says it. I don't see that as a bad thing really. I'm certainly not going to ding someone for a speech impediment.

kronicfeld [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 07:42:09 PM

I hear this all the time from the people who are so determined to find something to hate about him, but I have yet to meet or read commentary from a single person who actually thinks that way. Could it be, SHOCK AND SURPRISE, that it's a false caricature manufactured to find an easy target to assault?

ManRay: Exactly. But to most of the Obama kool-aide drinkers, he somehow transcends this and is not only smooth and cool all the time, but above criticism about it. It's annoying.

I'm so sick of this cliche - I've never met an Obama supporter who was even close to this description - the only reason the idea persists is because Mccain's supporters are trying to portray the idea that Obama is an "empty suit" and the "kool-aide drinkers" description is the only way to explain away the fact that an empty suit has a chance of winning.

I'd run for the hills if John McCain challenged me to 10 town hall debates, too.

To review:

He has no substance on any issues --> He's too liberal on all the issues.

He's a secret Muslim --> He's a member of an America Hating Black Church

and now, All he has going for him is he speaks well --> he's a mongoloid moron who can barely speak his own name without prodding from his handlers.

/keep the hits coming guys, you're just making him seem all that much capable for having to endure through this.

well shiat, 2 people is clearly enough of a sample size to paint the majority of his supporters like that.

This is exhibit #1205971209571206971 in the never-ending list of tards that perpetuate the "Obama messiah kool-aid cult crowd" even though everybody that supports him doesn't think this way because when you need to tear down an opponent, you use any means necessary.

Just speaking to my personal experience. Raanne said she has never meet someone like that. I didn't have to go very far to meet two. Maybe, just maybe, it's not a just cliche?

There is only one guy in the office that is not voting Obama specifically because he's black. I don't think that is a cliche either.

Um, no you don't. You are either a liar, or you are projecting on to them feelings and attitudes that are not really there, but fit into your little Obama hating world. More likely, they are simply people that happen to like Obama, and you really can't fathom that, can you?

Bufu [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 08:24:38 PM
I'm not voting for him because, if his rhetoric is to believed, he's a big-time socialist, and I think that's a fool's errand.

Not thrilled with McCain, but I think Obama's a feathery lightweight lefty with a nice delivery. But no substance.

I am amazed at the dramatic shift to the right that our country has taken over the past decade. I mean, damn people. Everything two steps to the left of Ghengis Khan is labeled as commie pinko socialism.

Not thrilled with McCain, but I think Obama's a feathery lightweight lefty with a nice delivery. But no substance.

If your entire argument is predicated on substance...why in the bloody hell are you even considering McCain?

You're not too thrilled with him...but at least he's not the socialist black liberal democrat?

It's quite the faulty argument you are using against Obama, because it sure doesn't help explain any support towards McCain whatsoever.

See, this is what annoys me. It just not possible that there are two people in my office of 15 that I can't talk politics around anymore because it just degenerates into superficial stuff about the guy, is it? It not possible that they can't tell me much of anything about what the guy wants to do when he's in office, but they can go on a and on about how awesome that crowd was in Berlin? I'm telling you it is.

I don't hate Obama, I'm just not voting for him.

Regardless of where the country has shifted in the last few years, calling for "government to get more involved in the economy" is headed towards socialism. That's just what I heard him say today while I was at the gym. He's said plenty more, but that's pretty clear.

I believe he said "no" talking-points. The Obama = Socialist is a huge talking point and completely untrue. Go to England, France, or Scandinavia to find out what an actual socialist looks like.

Aside from the biggie, that we are fiscally at opposite ends of the spectrum on almost all points( and this is what I care about most since it impacts me more directly than the social stuff does ), I don't think a freshman Senator has enough executive experience to be President. There is a reason we have not had a President that has not at least been a Governor in decades.

bulldg4life [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 08:49:05 PM

My apologies for any insult to Explosion, Crash, airplane, and any of their fans.

And we can see how the last Governor turned President has improved our country!

Who was the last senator turned President? JFK? Terrible president he was. And, thanks for completely destroying any reason to vote for McCain twice! No substance and he's a senator!

I said no right-wing talking points!

I watched him say it in a speech while I was on the treadmill today at the gym. It was about the time he was proposing giving out $1K to people to pay for fuel, with money from higher taxes. If you are calling that a talking point, then I guess I can't help you.

Yeah, inexperience in national government, or any executive position, sure makes for bad governance.
