And yesterday McCain accused Obama of playing the race card. I guess "race" is this week's McCain election strategy.

Obama will keep on doing what he's been doing. Ignoring the mud and rising in the polls.

I've given up on asking for issues.

Can John McCain please talk about John McCain once in a while?

When McCain talks about McCain he looks stupid. When McCain talks about Obama he looks stupid. What's an old man to do?

Perhaps he could have an intelligent debate on the pancakes vs. flapjacks issue.

I love this thread. Latest electoral college polling has Obama getting over 300 EVs. Lookin good.

So fark not going to run a link to the Republicans protesting in the House right now? Couple thousand headlines you could make out of that.

YodaTuna 2008-08-01 06:40:47 PM
I dunno This ad is pretty farked up too.

What's wrong with McCain? Seriously. Aside from the Swift boaters in 04, even Dubya didn't run anything this negative.

McCain is a dinkus.

brainiac-dumdum [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 06:41:01 PM
Who is this guy and what has he done with the real John McCain?

Corvus 2008-08-01 06:42:49 PM
It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

Paris Hilton, how often you mention Laatin America countries, Is Obama the Anti-Christ (that one was released today)?

Are these really McCain's top issues? Are these the top issues of Republicans? Is this top issues of Americans?

rjShadow [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 06:43:17 PM
I would not give two shiats about that ad if I were a Latin American voter.

Why?

John McCain has not said two shiats about ANYBODY OTHER than Barack Obama.

Think about that.

Obama talks about me. And you. And those other people that need him.
McCain talks about Obama.

See the difference?

Korovyov [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 06:43:47 PM
Sen. McCain should be explaining to Latinos (strange term, that *shrug* -- it'd be more appropriate for the Vatican) why he'd now vote against the immigration legislation that he helped author.

Corvus 2008-08-01 06:44:09 PM
YodaTuna: I dunno This ad is pretty farked up too.

*PSt* Obama is the Anti-Christ, pass it on. But we didn't say that.

AdolfOliverPanties [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 06:44:19 PM
Wow. Is he even trying?

Did he hire Bob Shrum as his campaign manager?

Is McCain ever going to air an ad about himself instead of trying to attack Obama from every angle, even if contradictory?

brainiac-dumdum [TotalFark] 2008-08-01 06:46:10 PM
brainiac-dumdum: Who is this guy and what has he done with the real John McCain?

Mybe Bush II has brewed up some polyjuice potion and he's using it to pass as McCain so he (Bush) can get a third term in office to finish running the country into the ground.

The real John McCain is locked up in the human-sized safe in Cheney's office.

rjShadow: I would not give two shiats about that ad if I were a Latin American voter.

If I was a Hispanic I would find the ad to be very insulting. Like I vote for someone only because they mention my country. And I am too stupid to realize in Germany he would be talking about more European countries in general.

McCain's campaign has bought into those Hispanic-American stereo types.

When are they going to have a debate? I'm sick of the ads. I want to see them go up against one another, hopefully standing up.

Dude what the fark are you talking about? There is no context at all EVER that suggests latinos would vote for McCain given his behavior these past 2 months.

/Or other voting blocks, not including dishonorable veterans, old meanies, racists, and dumb rich people

I wasn't saying there was. And how he is doing it is laughable. But he is trying.

The ad is like him trying to get the black vote by saying "I like watermelon too".

The only problem is that block is big enough to make a close race in this country.

If states with the population of my condo complex didn't get 3 electoral votes, it would be a bit different.

Hideously Gigantic Smurf 2008-08-01 06:54:10 PM
Uh, yeah.

Listen, all the right-wingers around here? Yeah, remember all those years you were badmouthing McCain and we leapt to his defense?

We're SORRY. Okay?

I mean we're really... REALLY sorry.

I just wanted to let you know that.

He's trying about as hard as that one South Park episode where the kids didn't want to win Little League games because they hated baseball. But even that episode didn't make sense because if the kids they played the championship against were that bad at losing, why would they be in the championship game?

UGH.......

Sadly McCain will get a lot of votes for simply being the old white republican. That's it. He doesn't really need a position on any issues.

Second Try: The Huffington Post. What did you expect?

I'm confused by your concern. Are you implying that the Huffington Post created the ad for McCain? Or that they're lying about the content of the ad? Or just that since it's on a librul site it must be a damn filthy lie, even though it is a McCain ad, and accurately described.

If you can't attack the message, don't bother attacking the messenger.

Go on to Youtube and google "McCain temper" or anything about McCain. Very few of those videos, if any, are positive.

This one in particular was a bit of an eye-opener (as someone who's not American and doesn't know a whole lot about McCain):

The Celeb. The One. Now this POS aimed at latinos. These ads are beyond lame and reek of desperation, and yet. . . Obama's lead keeps slipping in the polls. Even just 2 days ago it was +2.8 according to realclearpolitics.com. Now they have it at +2.6.

Never underestimate the gullibility of the US voter. Oh, yeah, John, I believe you can deliver that offshore oil to my local refinery next week. Oh, and thanks for pointing out that Obama hates Latin America!

MyRandomName 2008-08-01 08:18:16 PM
So is anybody gonna talk about the content of said ad and whether or not Obama is a better candidate for latinos... or just gonna attack perceived flip flops?

randomjsa 2008-08-01 08:19:04 PM
I like how Obama brings up race, and thanks to massive spin it somehow becomes McCain brings up race.
