That man is always the Evil guy in charge....always. And he had to do it because otherwise, the cabal will have no power with Obama in office.

Will they change his job title to "Grand Vizier" while they're at it?

Hmm, sounds a bit like the Riddler in that bad Batman movie with Jim Carrey.

The Joker is left hanging?

the more I read about this crap the more frustrated I become. NONE of this will work to stop terrorists. NONE of it. But it's a great way to crack down on an unruly civilian population. Oh - maybe not this administration, but we're handing every future white house the tools necessary to build an iron cage around all of us and lock us up in it.

If this position was created by Congress, how can W just change the scope of it without their approval? Oh, I forget who we're dealing with here.

Some farker predicted moves similar to this a few days ago, saying he was just waiting for Congress to break session so they couldn't fight him. It looks like he was right.

Weaver95, you'd be surprised how quickly that happens. :(

I honestly see how, in theory, this could help with detecting and stopping terrorist threats.

Domestic terrorist threats that were created in response to oppressive government, of course.

It would be okay only if that man was Sig Hansen.

My tinfoil hat is a shiny as anyone's but I don't see how this is such a bad thing. Congress created that job and Bush just gave him the authority to do it. Given how poorly our multi-billion dollar organizations performed to prevent the 9/11 attacks and the bad intel on the WMD's, it seems like a good idea to let the guy who oversees the operations fire the high-level members if they don't perform.

So the mall security guard that had all the powers at his finger tips but decided to run (not even his staff knew where the president went after he left that class) and hide when the mall got robbed.

Instead of firing the security guard that doesn't know the different between shiat and Shine-ola, you give him the master key to the mall and a loaded gun.

Why trust an idiot that can't be trusted in the first place? These jacka$$es were in charge that day. They blew it. They shouldn't be allowed to fark up more shiat.

If the person in that position is not compentent then he should be replaced, but I agree with the authority and powers of the office as described in the article.

How does this movie end again?

Choose-your-own-punchline:

(A) ...The Aristocrats!
(B) Do you mean Bruce Almighty or Evan Almighty?

Movie...?

I was thinking Enemy of the State. Which coincidently, takes place in the same city as the newspaper.

It's fine as long as he types his own name into the system after he's done with it.
