Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Thats because she has had 20 years to determine her opinions on sanity. The others have only had 3.

Here's my pitch: take the psychotic antagonism of Crossfire, and cross it with the unmitigated stupidity of Fox and Friends. What do you think? The best of both concepts, combined!

I love how Hasselbeck makes the argument for adjusting a stance.

McCain having had 20+ years in the Senate should have more solid, unchanging views. Meanwhile, changing his stance in the past 1-2 years.

On the other hand, Obama, being a junior Senator, I'd expect more flexibility.

I do it because I know that when it is over that nothing worst can happen to me that day. After an hour of The View, getting laid off, divorced, run over by a car, and then stabbed, robbed, and anally raped by a crazy crack head with a rusty baseball bat is a blessing.

Screechfest? Really? I mean, I'm just as much a chauvinistic bastard as the next Farker, but the only thing that set this clip apart from any of the conversations I hear from the man-biatches was that Whoopi has a deeper voice.

Admittedly, a he-wench taking McCain's side will invariably mutter something about about fiscal conservatism and be sure to form the word-stuff "socialism" when referring to Obama, but that just proves that these coonts are even smarter.

I'd sooner talk politics with a redneck on Jerry Springer.

CravenMorehead 2008-08-01 02:30:22 AM
Why did I watch that? Elizabeth Hasselbeck is so ignorant it's scary. But she is a great representative of the people that think McCain should be president.

She won't address the issue at hand but instead uses non-issue attacks to attempt to belittle his opponent. It's the GOP game and she has it down. She should really go work for Fox as a "political strategist". She's as qualified as the rest of them over there.

HE'S LIBERAL LIBERAL MCLIBERAL LIBERAL!
HE'S TOTALLY FLIPFLOPPED AND DOESN'T STAND FOR THE LIBERAL IDEALS THAT GOT HIM THE NOMINATION!!

it takes a special kinda stupid to not only hold both thoughts simultaneously, but to actually let the stupid escape your mouth and be shared with the rest of the world....

Whoopi Goldberg being reasonable? Man, this could've only been better if someone had thought to toss in a little "yes, Elisabeth, wonder what your opinion back in 2004 was of 'he's been in the Senate 20 years, he's had time to change his mind!' and all that."

The View does that. It has a way of taking women who have perfectly healthy careers and gleefully smashing them with a claw hammer.

My question is not related to this thread per se, other than to note that getting your politics from The View is like getting your driver's license from a box of Crackerjacks. But I've noticed on Fark lately a rash of people spelling the word "moron" as "moran." That strikes me as... well, moronic. Did I miss a joke?

What is Whoopi doing on that show? A sane reasonably intelligent person should not be hanging out with those insane dumbass empty-headed harpies.

Bring back Rosie. At least the stupid was coming from both sides.

Eh. Goldberg, Behar, and Walters have all worked for so long and have had so much success that they're set for life. They're also held in esteem in the business they came from (Comedy for Whoopi & Joy, journalism for Barbara).

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Hasselbeck's a former shoe designer and reality show contestant and Shepard was a sitcom supporting actress.

So basically, they barely had a career for The View to "ruin".

Whoopi is an idiot. The producers surround her with harpys to make her look smart by comparison. Never trust someone who's afraid to use their real name (Whoopi = Karen Johnson).
