Kind of like having a President that does something every week that makes us wonder why we elected him.

I'm confused. How does going to a party with a bunch of drunken college girls instead of some stuck up fund raiser "remind us why we didn't elect him president"?

Other than that it would have given jealous Republicans another excuse to cripple the federal government for two years while they investigate it.

I'm confused too. I thought we didn't elect him specifically because he was more into fund raisers than attending parties with drunken co-eds.

Um...what the heck do folks think happen in Nantucket in the summer? So, we didn't elect this guy President because he knows how to party?

I thought that was why we elected George.

I am soooooo confused.

So, Kerry partying with gals who show off less than the President's daughters at a kegger is a bad thing? Smitty you make my head hurt. To be honest, a few more of these, and Kerry might have sealed the deal.

If the subject is "politicians at drunken college party" pictures, then this is my fave:

On April 22, 2006, Congressman John Sweeney (NY) appeared at a registered party at the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity of Union College. (Union College, which is in Schenectady, is not in Sweeney's district.)

Witnesses reported that, after leaving a bar, he appeared to be intoxicated. Sweeney denied being drunk and denied drinking at the party. A friend of Sweeney who accompanied him to the party denied that Sweeney was drunk or slurring his words and that he drank only half of a glass of wine prior to the party.

...and just in case you missed this guy:
i27.photobucket.com

Sweeney's Deputy Chief of Staff, Melissa Carlson, pointed out that Sweeney had been advised not to drink alcohol because of medication for vasculitis. She added:

"As a committed representative of the people throughout the area where he lives and works, he enjoyed the discussion he shared with the students from Union College. (Sweeney) was impressed with the energy and enthusiasm displayed by the students - particularly on a Friday evening." (Photos taken at 1AM)

Seconded. Kerry does indeed do something every week to remind people why the electorate chose George Bush over him (imagine that -- stupider than Bush!), but this ain't it.

Yeah. We're much better off for electing a guy who claims God told him to kill a bunch of brown people in the Middle East.

Thanks for putting everything into perspective, subby. You are truly wise beyond your years.

BTW - When are you enlisting in Bush's great crusade against the people responsible for 911 the people of Iraq?

HawaiiE 2008-07-31 01:39:34 PM
kerry was a lame candidate. not many people voted for him, they just voted against bush.

this time around, mccain is the lame candidate. most of the people that will vote for him are actually just voting against obama.

Are you serious? If McCain had a picture like that, it would actually make him exciting.

If Kerry ran on a platform of Girls Gone Wild in every DVD player, well then... there's finally a candidate that understands me and my values!

wolvernova 2008-07-31 01:44:28 PM
I wonder every day how the fark he could have lost. Kerry being a deuchebag is not a reason to reelect this bunch.

Let's take a look at the last few presidential elections.

2000 - Dems run a liberal VP, former senator. Fail
2004 - Dems run a liberal senator. Fail
2008 - Dems run a liberal senator.

The only hope the dems have is this time the GOP is also running a liberal senator.

This. If he'd pulled that four years ago, I might have voted for him. Probably not. But I would have been more likely too.

How's that Kool-Aid? Mmmmmmmmmmmm. Good, huh? Every election cycle, we are treated to bullshiat articles from right wing publications alleging the democratic nominee is the mostest libruhl person evars. Mind you, this is often while the previous "mostest libruhl person evars" from the last election is still holding office. How does that seem to keep happening?

The only trend here is the inability to win the elections in spite of a shiatty and clueless opponent. Gore and Kerry were boring enough that they made George Farking W. Bush look charismatic in comparison.

Doesn't sound like he was even drinking with them. Imagine, you're a fairly well known politician, walking along the riverfront one night, and a bunch of college girls ask to get their picture taken with you... what kind of douche do you need to say no to that?

/less embarrassing than chest bumping at a ceremony me thinks

It is not. The Congressional Record did not declare that the Obama-Coburn government transparency bill was a "liberal vote". However, the National Journal, a right-wing publication that did actually rank Senators, did.

Republicans aren't jealous of this. They'd be jealous if it was a bunch of drunken college BOYS.

It was Kerry's fault that he lost.

The Dems ran their standard crappy POTUS campaign, just like they did in 2000 with Gore.

They're doing a little better this time around, so far. That Euro photo op tour was a stupid idea, though. WTF cares if Germans like the POTUS?

The Repubs simply run better POTUS campaigns than Dems do. Facts have nothing to do with it, it's about controlling the message and steering the media. This is still a tie race after all of Obama's rock concert theatrics and it hasn't even got dirty yet.

That's when Obama will sink.

Sorry.... can't quite wrap my mind around a sentence that includes the terms "John Kerry" and "without fail". I don't see how those two concepts can co-exist.

Any lameass who couldn't knock off Dubya in a reelection could not possibly, under any future circumstances, be considered for "without fail" status. Your fail is the Type II kind, like herpes. You gotta carry it around forever, like luggage.

I'm glad someone posted a Bush girls photo. Not that I was thrilled about Kerry but what we elected instead a second time around just sickens me more.
