Well done, NightOwl2255.

One of my favorites that I have never seen live. They better come to this area.

Does anyone have dates? I checked their site but couldn't find anything besides it kicks off in Chicago on Halloween.

I went to both the "Back in Black" and "For Those About To Rock" back in the '80's. One of the concerts was at Red Rocks in Denver, and when I came out I felt like I had been under constant artillery fire for the past two hours. Loud? Oh my God yes. But it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. I've never seen AC/DC play anything other than balls-out, full-bore, take-no-prisoners rock 'n' roll. Watching Angus Young jittering and convulsing on the stage without missing a note on his guitar is something you have to see to believe.

/Jesus, Angus is fifty three years old. What will happen when the real rockers shuffle off this mortal coil, I ask you?

This is wonderful news.

Here's my Motorhead story...

I was backstage before one of those giant all-day festival metal shows they used to have back in the 80's. I'm talking to my cousin when I hear an ear-splitting crack and the boom of a bass neck getting smacked. I shout over my shoulder "Turn that farking thing off before you move it!" thinking I was ragging some roadie about to do a sound check.

Nope, it was Lemmy himself about to start the show. Good thing for me he's stone deaf or he might have kicked my ass on stage in front of 30,000 people.

Saw them the last tour they did, and while Brian's voice was shot, they still kicked ass. The last half of the show, every single song was a classic--I thought my head was going to explode during Whole Lotta Rosie they were so intense.

/So there
//Jack Daniels or Jim Beam beforehand? Hmmm....

Airbourne-AC/DC clones from Australia, nice old school rock album.

Angus Young: can't read sheet music, taught himself to play guitar.
Funny: Can't play leads (said so himself).
Funnier: Created the "one-hand solo" by tapping the strings along a scale.
Funniest: Unintentionally created modular hammer-on/pull-off arpeggiated scale progression.
Why this is funny: Every Hardcore Punk, Death and Black Metal band cites him as an influence in guitar, even though AC/DC have repeated said they can't stand Punk or Heavy Metal - the two genres whose growth they are most responsible for.
