We have that in Texas, it's called any snow of the season.

LOL, so true. We set out in lawn chairs on 1/16/07 just to watch the Texans drive in the snow. We were rewarded with two two car wrecks and a single car wreck with a telephone pole. This was in the space of two hours.

I've been so tempted, but during a sober afternoon.

Seriously, if I want a new ride all I have to do is pull out in this one intersection which consistently has people running the red.

Can I assume by seeing the links on the page that Michigan is full of drunks? Or do the drunks just make all the headlines?

Bet those cops are bummed about that "no front license plate required in Michigan" thing.

FTFA: "She kept on driving leaving behind the front of of her vehicle...If you have any information about the female driver who's on the loose call the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office."

I am thinking that finding a black Honda Civic with no front end (how she was able to drive away like this is beyond me) should be pretty easy.

first accident happened after a 31-year-old Kalamazoo man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ditch Second Ambulance was in pursuit when they were hit head on by a unknown female Third: police cruiser was hit by another drunk driver

We have that here in Oregon too, that first rain after those weeks of no rain in August we usually have.

Then I-5 is all nice and slick from weeks of other accidents leaving oil and other fluids, add water and its like glass.

Arkanaut 2008-07-28 12:32:13 AM
Someone should call the editor from the news station, the last sentence is worded wrong. It should really read as follows:

If you have any information about the a female driver who's on the loose call the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office.

FTA ~ "An Ambulance was in pursuit when they were hit head on..."

Was in pursuit? What were they chasing? And how about some video. You don't get to see ambulance car chases very often.

An Ambulance was in pursuit when they were hit head on by a unknown female driving a black Honda Civic or Accord. She kept on driving leaving behind the front of of her vehicle.

Too funny, I grew up in Oshtemo township in Kalamazoo, MI. The intersection is close to the Western Michigan University campus. Lots of parties, lots of drunks. Also one of the biggest bars in Kalamazoo (Wayside) is just around the corner.

Someone doesn't know the difference between channel 3 and channel 8 - but when channel 8 news is on wood, wotv, and wxsp, who can blame them?

Hey, it's not WOOD - it's WWMT.

I would think if you had a front end of a car you could identify it as a civic or accord.

Civics are pretty tough cars. My neighbor had some clown drive over a 5' retention wall with one and then drive away. He knows it was a civic because the back bumper was left behind.

Yeah, the woodtv/wwmt mix-up was because someone had already submitted the story using the woodtv link and it got denied. I switched to the wwmt link and forgot to update the source until after I hit submit. Feel free to facepalm away.
