I hope they make them pay for the wasted fuel.

Gotta know how to hold your booze.

Is this the thing to do nowadays? If you want to troll IRL and you're on an airplane, you get drunk and try opening the exit door?

This is at least the second or third story about someone doing this in the past week or so.

Hide your chickens 2008-07-26 04:54:46 PM
The pilot then apologised for the inconvenience and announced the plane was diverting to Frankfurt where both women were arrested by German police...

That would be really funny if the original flight was from Reno to Las Vegas.

golf clap, subby

Terrified passengers applauded the cabin crew when they wrestled the two women to the ground and used plastic cuffs to tie their hands behind the backs

Who needs in flight movies when you can have aero-theatre.

maybe we should make plane doors that can't be opened by a drunk person while the plane is flying......oh now I understand the TSA 3 oz rule.

The last line of TFA was simply classic.

"One of them was lashing out with a vodka bottle after being refused more booze and the other went to the emergency exit yelling: 'I want some fresh air."

The "more booze" one is Patsy the "fresh air" one is Eddy. Great show. No, awesone show.

My, aren't we selectively indignant.

The article is about British passengers not being served more booze, and no mention of 'the Nanny State' - that is far more impressive.

When I fly, I usually sit in the emergency row for the extra legroom, and so I could be a hero in an emergency.

If some drunk biatch started threatening to open up the door I would probably knock her ass out.

Did the airline notify their next of kin after that one exploded?

The whole thing could've been avoided it the airline would have just given me her more booze.

isnt this thread about obama and socialists?

Combustion 2008-07-26 05:34:38 PM
Actually, they need a little secluded room in the back of the plane...maybe 10 feet by 10 feet. This room is for people like this: You put them in there, secure the outer door and let them open the other door to the outside.
TA DA!! Problem solved and they get plenty of fresh air.

SharkInfested 2008-07-26 05:38:36 PM
this is so dead-on with Ab Fab that I'm having a hard time believing it's real. Do people know that they're caricatures, or would self-awareness ruin the whole thing?

"Hail to the chief? More like INHALE to the chief!!!"

There, you feel at home now?

Ghoulthulhu 2008-07-26 06:04:41 PM
It is understand that both passengers, who appeared sober when they boarded the aircraft, smuggled their own alcohol onboard and also breached airline safety rules by smoking in the toilets.

It is understand??? Am i mistaken or is this proper usage of the word. Im not trying to be a grammar nazi, just wondering. Thought it would be understood.

Anyhow, these two coonts deserved everything they got. Sounds like these "women" need a farking attitude adjustment. How about 6 months in scenic Guantanamo Bay? Maybe a date featuring waterboarding and electric shock? Yes. Im picturing these women being the type that wear "Im a biatch and proud of it" T-shirts.

FTFA: One passenger told Bavarian Radio: "It was a hell of a scene. One of them was lashing out with a vodka bottle after being refused more booze and the other went to the emergency exit yelling: 'I want some fresh air.'"

Vodak is a helluva drug.

/bravo on the AB FAB ref.

That did read just like an AdFab script. Perfect.

TV Special!

The script should be half-written by now!

You can actually tell which one is Edwina and which one is Patsy!

2bits: maybe we should make plane doors that can't be opened by a drunk person while the plane is flying......oh now I understand the TSA 3 oz rule.

Well, passenger doors are about 42x72 inches, with an internal PSI differential of around 8 (interior at 10, outside air at 2), and you have to pull them in - the doors are larger than the frame - so that's be....24,192lbs of force pushing it closed. Yeah, not going to open.
