Their spin can be extreme... but their independent polls are legitimate. They just focus on what they want and talk about things from their side.

Once you figure out how to read through the spin it all gets kinda funny.

Yeah, you probably should. No generation is any better than any other when it comes to courage and dealing with hardship. The idea that current people couldn't survive the depression is laughable. We'd whine about it, but so did they. We wouldn't like it, but neither did they. We're generally more accepting of people of different races, religious choices, and lifestyles now than they were, so I think we're even at best. And the next generation will probably be better than us at those things.

Of course, I think a Logan's Run style society would be better off, so maybe I'm a bit biased.
