S'all right. Soon it'll be time to dust off the "Days Without a Republican President" counter.

Even if you believe in the Republican creed, I can't see supporting these guys. They're tremendous douchebags.

Brownose..er..Brownback was on MSNBC this morning griping about Obama's trip being inappropriate yadda yadda. Contessa Brewer asked him how it was any different than McCain's speech in Canada and Brownback had the nerve to say, "Yeah, but that's on OUR continent" and then threw in the media bias angle, and that no one covered McCain. To which she asked, "But didn't he grant an exclusive to CBS?" He just dismissed that. I forget his exact words but he implied somehow it was different.

What the fark does that have to do with anything? How about a "Days between McCain using the internet" or a "Days between the GOP selling another portion of the government to the highest bidder".

/That last one might be useless since it would stay at 0 all the time

YodaTuna 2008-07-25 02:22:04 PM
You know what's hilarious about the RNC page? Almost everything on the page is about Barack Obama, nothing about McCain.

The means one of two things, McCain is the world's most boring candidate that no one likes and the RNC strategy is to make fun of their opponent like it's high school. Which sadly enough works.

Actually it's probably both of those reasons.

gop.com seems like the target audience is teens and preteens, there's some odd verbiage and imagery for an official political party website.

Am I missing something, is gop.com not the official republican party website?

It's the media coverage bias. It's that pernicious.

His head bodyguard is free, too - despite having been in custody (new window).

By the way, when did the link submission thingy add the "political bias" field?

It wouldn't be newsworthy if McCain and the RNC hadn't made such a big farking production out of it in the first place.

It's just like Obama's entire overseas trip. The McCain Campaign stupidly spent months gloating about how long it had been since Obama had visited Iraq or been overseas, talking about it all the time...as if it really mattered. Somehow during all of that they failed to realize all Obama had to do was hop on an aireplane to nullify their point. Then he goes, and they piss and moan about the fact he's going and the reception he's receiving.

Reap what you sow. If you spend all your time making specious accusations, don't be pissed off if they are refuted with a specious response.

Its a sad reminder that the GOP and McCain were screaming that Obama wouldn't go to Iraq. Looks like he called their week little complaint. Now that he responded to their urging and went, they're mad that he went. The GOP is petty, sad, and finally on its way out.

The whole thing was embarrassingly stupid BEFORE they updated their website. Perhaps if they had a point, or a plan, or a platform, they wouldn't be losers.

Oh yeah. I'm a whiny little c*nt for pointing out how the Fark Politics tab works. Non-stories are greenlit just because they're trollish against republicans OR democrats. I don't need to tell you that, Headso, you've been here for longer than I have.

You've usually got some zingers for anyone who disagrees with your point, but throwing out "c*nt" for someone who explains how Fark Politics is just a trollfest is not your style. Wake up, get back on your game. You aren't seriously taking all comments and assuming they are a personal attack on you, are you?

In case none of that got through to you, here's the tl;dr version.
Fark you too.

Let me see if I understand you: You're complaining because the Fark politics tab - which exists to promote debate among those with differing political beliefs - links to articles which inspire debate among those with differing political beliefs? Is that the nut of the matter? Is that what has your boxers in a bunch?

No. That's not what I'm saying. I'm not complaining at all.
Someone said "Is it just me, or is this not newsworthy?"
I replied that anything bad about Republicans on Fark is newsworthy, as well as any bad article about Democrats too. We all come here to dump on each other over every little thing. The guy is obviously new here if he's asking if something is really news-worthy.

I understand the intense desire to take someone's comments, shape them into a personal attack, and then hammer on that straw man all day, but that's not what I said at all. I posted the verbal equivalent of the "Welcome to Fark" picture.

Get over yourself. Not every post here is meant to question your beliefs. I know you're sitting at your keyboard salivating at the chance to jump on someone who makes any comment you can interpret however you feel like, but I'm not going to suddenly break down and reveal that I'm a secret fascist Bush Cabinet member who posted that comment as a way to piss you off, even if you call me a whiny little c*nt.
