I work for the state of CT, and they may start doing this at that level. They'll have to get through our union first...

Ehh, apart from the slacker jokes, you then only have to pay for lighting and other utilities for 1 day less, which can really add up.

Also, you save on all the non-salary type things, like cleaning services. And toilet paper. Most gov't employees wait until they're at work to get their morning dump out of the way.
