That's right citizens, call this hotline and tell me where I can go get more porn... I mean criminals. Get more criminals. Turn that camera off!

He was doing "research".

Sources said Cohen was under psychiatric care Thursday night. He could not be reached for comment.

And he is already working on his temporary insanity defense.

sullyman: And he is already working on his temporary insanity defense.

And people will fall for it.

You know, I've "researched" more than my fair share of adult porn, and in more than 10 years, I've only twice come across child porn and both times it was some moron posting it in a chat room.

My point is this: one REALLY has to go hunting for it to find it. Child porn isn't just something that randomly shows up on your computer by accident.

My first newspaper job was covering Roselle NJ and this guy. A charmer, very smart. A natural pol.

That he was single even into his later years was attributed to an old girlfriend who had died many years ago.

My God, do you think he may have lied?

As an interesting sidenote, in NJ each Assembly district sends two assemblymen. The guy he shared the district with for years, Joe Suliga, had his career ended for him after a drunken brawl of some kind in an Atlantic City casino.

And Lesniak, the senator in the story who blew the whistle on Cohen, was McGreevy's best bud and has also managed to mysteriously escape the altar late into his 50s.

What these men need is to settle down...

Cohen, who is not married, graduated from Athens University in Alabama and Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. After a clerkship with a Superior Court judge, he began his legal career as a trial lawyer in the Middlesex County Public Defender's Office.

Ah. Teh gay kiddy porn. That explains why his own party turned him in.

What struck me was that there was no direct mention of what party he was a member of until the third to last paragraph and that only mentioned his chairmanship of a county level organization some 17 years ago.

Indeed. However, to be complete, we should note that a Democrap having a kiddieporn scandal is a step down from the typical Rethuglican "teh gay" scandals, as well as applauding the Democrats who decided the wolves should get dinner by teatime.

Well the first paragraph did say that two of his democratic colleagues turned him in.

Yeah, but aren't all members of the Assembly referred to as "colleagues"? I mean the "colleagues were referred to as...Well looky there...I must have missed it in the second paragraph...

My bad.

You were right though, there was no direct mention of his party affiliation untill late in the story.

No...it's there in the second paragraph. I am positive that it wasn't there earlier as I was cutting and pasting the names before trashing that post for the one I posted...But then again maybe I did miss it and it was there all along.

Eh...if you're into those 18+ porn things, I'm sure some unscrupulous porn producer can find a 16-year-old (that LOOKS like they're 18 or 20 or something). Whaddya gonna do? Card the kid as you're staring at his/her naked image on your screen?? Doesn't matter if they LOOK 20. If they are, in fact, 17 or less, you are SCREWED, sonny-jim!

We should just ban porn altogether. To be safe. Or, limit it to granny porn.

For those that were questioning his party affiliation, all you have to do is look at the headline. If he was Republican, it would have said so.

Don't worry, CNN was circulating video of him wearing an Obama pin this morning. Ya know, cause media is so in love with Obama.

He also is a long-time member of the Legislature's Joint Committee on Ethical Standards.

Of course he is.

Roselle Mayor Garrett Smith, a Democrat but longtime opponent of Cohen and his supporters in the Union County Democratic organization, said, "My phone started ringing off the hook. I hit the floor when I heard the news. I'm speechless. It's incredible -- if it's true. I don't know what to think."

"At last, my turn to wet my beak" is what you're thinking, mayor.

You'd still be potentially screwed: "under-18 with progeria"

It's been my experience that those who vehemently want to criminalize an activity are statistically more likely to engage, or have engaged in said activity.

This was my reaction too. I mean it was a shared office computer. Chain of custody, anyone? I think they will have a hard time proving anything in court. But what does it matter? He's dead meat now.
