I actually saw some new pictures of her the other day, and she's actually looking pretty decent. She's lost weight, her hair has all grown back, and she was wearing nice clothes.

It seems like Britney's attractiveness goes in cycles; she'll look hot for a while, then she'll get chubby and frumpy, then she'll return to looking good, then she'll let herself go again, repeat ad nauseum.

If she had just worn something like that at the last vma, no one would have made fun of her weight. She wasn't "fat" per say, but there's a difference between being "thin" and being in "bikini-shape", especially once you're an adult and not a teenager, and doubly so after you've given birth.
She wasn't fat, but she was no-where near toned enough to the point where prancing around in a bikini was the most flattering wardrobe choice.
