I love Weezer, but the new red album doesn't work for me..Except for The Angel and the One (new window).

Seriously, wouldn't playing the same crappy, cheesy, garbage for a decade and a half eventually lose it's sparkle?

Well, I guess I'd be cool with getting millllliiioons for playing lame early teen music...

That is just all kinds of awesome.

siva 2008-07-22 08:04:49 PM
you'd think having a few hundred extra band members you could do something more interesting with the music, not make it sound like everyone's playing exactly the same thing. oh well, I still like the old songs but i'm not blown away

Haters go somewhere else. That was really cool.

//you know, cause it makes 'em so mad!

Sorry, but there is absolutely nothing cool about Weezer. But you guys go ahead and dig your adolescent singalongs.

Weezer=Barenaked Ladies=They Might Be Giants = Shiat Geek Pop

All bands should have a good relationship with their fans, not go around beating them senseless like Asshole... uh Axl Rose from Guns N Roses.

If Weezer had a good relationship with their fans, or any respect for them, they would not have released their last 4 albums.

meh, typical Fark snark.

Green - though clocking in at under 30 minutes, it's a really fun album

Maladroit - 4 or 5 songs I would put on any playlist

Whatever the last one was called - Meh ... Typical Situation was a good one, but not a fan, I'll admit

Red - Haven't had time to digest it yet ... a couple good songs.

Yes, Blue was amazing and Pinkerton was a masterpiece. Who cares? They keep trying and people keep buying.

It's always a blast to play along with your favorite artists... the fact that these guys and gals got to do it live is even more of a rush. Kudos to everyone for having fun.

"typical situation" is a Dave Matthews song, it's "perfect situation", but I knew what you meant.

Yes, Blue was amazing and Pinkerton was a masterpiece. Who cares? They keep trying and people keep buying.

I agree. I don't own the last three albums and there's a reason for that: I got tired of the formula. Although, I've gotta say that "pork and beans" is really catchy regardless of the fact that it would easily fit on the blue or green album.

Yeah, you're right. Perfect Situation. It's been so long since I picked up that album, I can't even remember the name of the song I like.

Pork and Beans is really cool, I like it. And I do love that they have kept with the tradition of making really cool videos.

I could still rock Pinkerton cover to cover ... maybe it's b/c it's not formulaic? Such a killer record.

I will never get tired of Pinkerton or their non-album songs, ie Jamie, Mykel and Carli, or even Susanne. I can still listen to the blue album, but the others I'm not so into. I haven't heard the entire red album, yet, but I'll give it a go.

Color me awe-struck, but I didn't think the majority of fans would know "Jaime." I'm not trying to stroke my own song library, I just didn't think many people bought the Geffen Rarities Vol.1 album.

On a related note, does anyone know if there were other Geffen Rarities albums released? I never saw another one.
